Magnificent. This seafood market is one of the most important in all of Europe. Once you enter this grand building you are greeted by the fishy smell, not overwhelming tho, just the right quantity for a fish market experience. Individuals can enter on Saturdays from 9:00 to 12:30. I got the impression that the prices were higher than in supermarkets, but that the quality was equally higher. Important! Bring cash and if you are going to buy a lot a cart. There is also a bar in which you can have a snack pause.

The toilets are actually really nice, which I didn't expect. There are plenty of stalls, definitely enough for all customers. Nevertheless some stalls are reserved for...

The place is huge. I am talking about the fruit market. But very dark, very noisy, people trampling you from everywhere. It might be cheaper than a supermarket but you are really feeling like an animal. Every imaginable person from the poorest walks of life all gather in this spot. Only if you want to see something you never see in europe. You could be in egipt or africa or thailand. Its like nothing you have ever seen before. Be warned. There is also a fish marker, big, modern. Its ok. All the markets are together in the same courtyard. You also pay a...

As a student, I don't have much money to eat seafood everytime. But it's before I find out about this place! Now I can confidently eat my favorite kinds of fishes, squid, shrimp and crab everytime I want because the price is sooooo reasonable here. Also love the atmosphere when shopping here: people coming to see fresh fishes and the salesmen keep introducing about their products. A...
