My girlfriend and I did a cooking class here and it was absolutely spectacular! From start to finish, the experience was warm, engaging, and full of flavor. We made two types of fresh pasta and a delicious tiramisu – everything was hands-on, authentic, and so much fun to create. What really elevated the experience was the wine pairing – a crisp white that complemented the food perfectly. You can tell a lot of care goes into every detail. The owner was fantastic – super welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about food and hospitality. It felt more like being invited into someone’s home than just taking a class. Highly recommended whether you’re a local or visiting – a perfect date idea or just a great way to spend a few hours learning, laughing, and eating amazing food.

Fotos & Rezensionen sehen gut aus? 🏃🏼‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️ Da hab ich mir 2 deutsche Teilnehmer unserer Gruppe geschnappt und bin hin. 🧐 Mit großen Erwartungen, denn seit meiner Kindheit bin ich oft in Apulien bei Einheimischen zu Tisch gewesen. Zu meiner großen Überraschung war das Lokal an einem Freitagabend komplett leer. Schlechtes Wetter und die anstehenden Ferien in Italien haben uns also ein Privatrestaurant geboten. 👌🏼 🤔 Jetzt muss man in Italien durchaus damit rechnen, dass die Betreiber eines leeren Restaurants, nicht unbedingt motiviert sind 3 Gäste gemütlich zu bedienen. ✅ Weit gefehlt! 🤩 Der junge Kellner hat mit großem Enthusiasmus und sehr professionell alle Gerichte ausführlich erklärt, sich entschuldigt, dass es keine englische Speisekarte gibt. Kein Problem: ich hab übersetzt. 🧐 Und wir hatten wirklich die Qual der Wahl! 🙅🏻‍♂️ Einer aus unserer Gruppe wollte "eigentlich" nur einen Teller Pasta essen. Von wegen! 🤣 🥘 Als die Vorspeise und auch der Hauptgang auf dem Tisch stand, verführerisch roch und gut aussah, hat auch er noch ein Tellerchen und ein Gäbelchen 🍽️ bekommen und wir haben uns also zu dritt durch die Karte gegessen und getrunken. 🍷 👩‍🍳 Gegen 22 Uhr hab ich mal nachgefragt, wie lange die Küche noch offen ist - wir waren ja allein im Lokal. "Bis ihr fertig seid - kein Problem" Dann haben wir die nächste Runde bestellt! 💰 Von Polpo als Vorspeise, verschiedenen Orecchiette-Pasta, Salsicce, Wein und nochmal Wein bis zur Pannacotta mit Pistaziensoße haben wir uns quer durch's Menü gefuttert und der Preis zu dritt war eher der, den ich sonst zu zweit bei Abendessen zahle. 🤗 Grazie & alla prossima!

so… what I can say about it? You can’t miss it! It is a real genuine authentic and well made from the scratch Pugliese style kitchen. You will touch the heaven! Pasta is home-made as your grand mother could make. No words to describe the stracciatella cheese. And not the least, the pics of the cakes can’t describe -even if you saw them - the taste. Come agrigentina voglio solo dire ‘pura commozione per lo spumone alle mandorle’.This magic place is only a few steps from the brand new REPETTI Blue M4 metro stop. What are you waiting for?

so… what I can say about it? You can’t miss it! It is a real genuine authentic and well made from the scratch Pugliese style kitchen. You will touch the heaven! We arrived at our inn near Linate Airport after a flight from Chicago, a flight connection at Heathrow and a long wait at Linate for a delayed bag that showed up the next day. We were tired and a little hungry, and decided to go two doors down the street to Orecchiette e Vino because it was close and had great reviews.

We were greeted by Cosimo, the owner and host, and mentioned that we only wanted a light dinner, but we were treated as if we were VIPs! We ordered an antipasto, which was wonderful selection of meats, cheeses including fresh mozzarella, several types of salami, prosciutto, artichokes, marinated eggplant and delicious breads. Everything was excellent!!

We also shared perfectly al dente orecchiette pasta with little meatballs in sugo. Wonderful!

Cosimo spent time at each guest's table chatting and making everyone feel at home. His server was equally warm and excellent.

The next evening, after spending day touring Milan Center, we decided to return to Orecchiette e Vino for a more complete dinner. We cannot remember ever previously eating at the same restaurant 2 nights in a row. We had more fresh mozzarella, two other perfectly prepared pasta dishes and Cosimo suggested that we share a grilled steak. It too was cooked perfectly, part rare and part medium-rare, and Cosimo carved it tableside for us. We agreed it was one of the best steaks we had ever eaten! "Il locale si mimetizza così bene con l'esterno anonimo da farti dubitare di aver sbagliato civico, un'abilità degna di un agente segreto in pensione. Varcata la soglia, vieni catapultato in una Puglia talmente stereotipata da far sembrare Checco Zalone un documentario sul National Geographic. Ma, tutto sommato, poteva andare peggio... forse.

L'accoglienza del cameriere, fulminea come un pit-stop di Formula 1, illude momentaneamente il malcapitato avventore. Illusione che svanisce alla velocità della luce non appena fa la sua comparsa il pane. Dimenticate la croccantezza e il profumo dei forni pugliesi: qui si servono fette tristemente anonime, probabilmente reduci da un'offerta speciale all'Eurospin, tristemente adagiate in un cestino di plastica rossa che farebbe inorridire persino i volontari della Caritas. A corredo, delle pseudo-focaccine/tigelle che trasudavano un olio così denso da far pensare a un cambio filtri di un Tir.

Ma il meglio (o il peggio, fate vobis) doveva ancora arrivare. Il baccalà fritto, presentato come una prelibatezza, si è rivelato un blocco di misteriosa consistenza, impanato con una malta che sospetto contenesse più calce che farina. La frittura, ovviamente, era un omaggio all'olio 'vintage' precedentemente assaggiato. Ad accompagnare questo capolavoro, delle patatine fritte stick, quelle surgelate che giuravi di aver bandito dalla tua dispensa nel lontano 2008 (e, oh sorpresa, non segnalate nel menù!). Il tutto era tristemente guarnito da un'insalata che sembrava aver perso ogni speranza di vita, con qualche carota julienne in evidente stato confusionale e un pomodorino solitario, forse l'ultimo superstite di un'apocalisse orticola.

Il titolare, figura pittoresca che si aggirava tra i tavoli con la grazia di un orso in letargo, si premurava di sondare la soddisfazione dei clienti con un abbigliamento che definire 'casual' sarebbe un insulto ai pigiami. Sembrava reduce da una rapina all'Humana, con indosso capi che avrebbero fatto la gioia di un rigattiere d'alta moda... dell'usato più estremo.

Che dire? A un certo punto ho seriamente temuto che Chef Cannavacciuolo facesse irruzione urlando da dietro le quinte. Se così non fosse, beh, cari gestori, vi consiglio vivamente di inviare la vostra candidatura a 'Cucine da Incubo'. Avete tutte le carte in regola per una puntata...
