Ribot Borghetto — Restaurant in Milan

A friend recommended this restaurant for my wife’s birthday, and it turned out to be a great choice. We were a group of 13 (8 adults and 5 kids), and they seated us in a cozy spot a bit off to the side, which was perfect.

Our waiter was fantastic. While the adults were still looking at the menu, he immediately suggested a few shared dishes for the kids, and they came out really quickly. The food was excellent—lots of high-quality beef options, plus some classic dishes like Osso Buco Milanese.

I came here on a recommendation from a local. I arrived an hour before their reported closing time. There was only 2 people in my party. All the host said when I asked for a table was “kitchen closed.” I mentioned to him that on the restaurant’s website, it specifically mentions the kitchen is open until 11pm. He said “no 10pm” which was clearly a lie. The worst part is that he did not apologize or have any sort of sympathy that we made a trip out to his restaurant and they were turning us away an hour before their reported closing time. Un’esperienza da fare una volta sola (e mai più)! Siamo stati in questo ristorante con grandi aspettative, ma purtroppo ne siamo usciti piuttosto delusi. I prezzi sono decisamente troppo alti rispetto a ciò che viene offerto: abbiamo ordinato un antipasto di salumi e formaggi per due persone al costo di 42€, e ci siamo ritrovati con due fettine contate e una prevalenza di verdure — nulla che giustifichi una cifra del genere. Il cibo, nel complesso, è buono. Tuttavia, lo “spaghetto alla Ribot”, che ci aspettavamo particolare, si è rivelato semplicemente uno spaghetto al pomodoro. L’idea del dolce offerto a fine pasto è sicuramente apprezzabile, specialmente considerando i prezzi elevati del menù. La delusione più grande, però, è arrivata con il parcheggio, che definirei senza mezzi termini uno scam. All’arrivo, il ragazzo del parcheggio — che ci era stato detto lavorasse con il ristorante — ci ha chiesto se fossimo clienti, e alla nostra risposta affermativa ci ha fatto parcheggiare “di là”, chiedendoci le chiavi e lasciandoci un biglietto. Nessun accenno al costo. Alla fine della cena, ci siamo visti chiedere 10€ per il servizio di parcheggio, senza ricevuta e soprattutto senza essere stati avvisati prima. In altri ristoranti di pari livello (e con prezzi simili), il parcheggio è incluso come minimo. Qui no. Tirando le somme, non ci torneremo.
