Lo Spuntino — Restaurant in Monfalcone

I love such businesses! When I entered the restaurant, they did not have a free table, but the lady found one in the corner. Immediately she asked what I was going to eat. I asked her for the menu, but she replied that she was the menu and asked what I was going to eat as an appetizer. I said something light, she suggested a salad with mozzarella, olives and tomatoes. Tell you what, I've never eaten such mozzarella. From the inside, it was incredibly soft and watery. I'm not even talking about tomatoes, as if they had just been torn from the garden. For the second course I’ve had homemade pasta with seafood. It tasted as if it was taken from the see like a minute ago. Perfect restaurant. Recommending...

We wanted to have some authentic small town Italian dinner and we chanced by this place while driving around towards the Trieste Airport. It was also a relief to see it open on Monday since most of the restaurants seemed to be closed ! The service was nice, the ladies spoke a bit of English and were kind enough to explain the menu. We ordered the carppacio salad, pasta with porcini and shrimp stuffed ravioli ! All the dishes were excellent ...and the desserts , Chantilly cream with coffee and Tiramisu were...

Anticipo che questo luogo mi è stato suggerito da un collega per una sua specialità, il primo, aspettative più che soddisfatte. Ora nel dettaglio, il locale si presenta rustico, casereccio e caldo, piccolo, conterà forse 20-30 coperti, all’inizio era un po’ rumoroso perché presumo funga anche da locale per aperitivi ( come si vede dalla foto alcune persone gustavano cocktail al banco). Passando alla parte fondamentale possiamo parlare del primo, ravioloni al cioccolato con ripieno di capesante e gamberoni, signori miei un capolavoro, delicato ma saporito, si presenta anche molto elegante, ne avrei mangiato due porzioni minimo e non nascondo che ho reso il piatto più pulito che lavandolo. Il secondo mi è stato suggerito ( avendo espresso molto appetito) osso buco con patate e cipolle schiacciate, assieme a dei peperoni grigliati, carne tenerissima e saporita e purea fantastica. Il dolce “i sette peccati” era un tortino di cioccolata con frutti di bosco e panna con scaglie di cioccolato, semplice ma decisamente un finale perfetto. Il tutto accompagnato da un quartino di vino e una bottiglia di acqua frizzante, lo scontrino lo vedete dalle foto e credo che sia giusto.
