Il Boss della Trippa - O’ Russ — Restaurant in Naples

Not a place for tourists, but if you want to jump in a real neapolitan situation, this is a place you can't miss. Two options for the menu: "tripperia" or "trattoria", as 'explained' by the guest, adding nothing more than that since the names say it all. We went for tripperia...tripes, and since it was our first time, he decided what we would eat, because "this time, I decide...next time you will do". Three different tripes: tomato and pecorino cheese, stewed with potatos, and with beans. As a dessert, one dish of boiled tripe and other 5/4 parts, with salt and pepper and freshly squised lemon juice. Wina and water and that's all for 55 euros, that means less than 19 euros each, as we were 3. Not a place for veggies or stilish, but...

We wanted to try tripe in Italy, because we like the ingredient back home. At first they tried to show us were we could find pizza outside, because I guess they thought we didn't want tripe. That was funny.

After some form of communication (we don't speak Italian, and they don't speak English) we got a table and had the trippa al sugo and spaghetti con trippa e patate. They both tasted good.

The ambience of the place is great, and it was nice to sit with locals, outside of the tourist area of Naples.

Unfortunately, when we got the bill, there was an extra dish on it. After pointing it out they did remove it immediately. Not sure if this was intentional or not, but I will give them the...

Mi sono recato un sabato sera e c'era una festa prima mi hanno detto che non c'era niente e dovevano chiudere poi dopo mi anno fatto aspettare e dopo un'ora mi e arrivata la trippa con la salsa appena riscaldata e insomma era la rimanenza delle pietanze che avevano rimasti i clienti si vedeva sfacciatamente sono rimasto disgustato e sono andato via e per di più mi avevano fatto pagare pietanze che non avevo nemmeno mangiato poi sono ritornato indietro per farglielo notare e avendosi scusato mi a ridato indietro ciò che avevo pagato di più però prima me li faceva vedere e poi le rimetteva di nuovo in cassa finché dopo due volte mi sono arrabbiato dicendoci : ci fai ho ci sei ?: e così ho ricevuto i miei soldi indietro .quindi non ci andrò mai più uno...
