I pride myself on finding these “hole-in-the-wall” establishments. A cozy and true mom-and-pop shop. You may not expect great things from this place as you approach it from the front, but you’d be wrong about the food and you’d miss out on what I consider to be an authentic Italian experience. I knew they were set to close at 6PM, so I walked briskly to get there with enough time to eat before closing. Arriving around 5:25PM (on a Sunday), there were local Italian families just leaving the restaurant. I took this as a good sign of local endorsement and authenticity. The owners seemed a little surprised to see an American coming in, or perhaps a little concerned about the proximity to closing time. Nonetheless, they made me feel welcome and I ordered the roasted octopus, bruschetta, pistachio ricotta tart (for dessert), and coffee. All of these dishes were excellent. The sauce really made the dish with the roasted octopus. You’ll notice that the dessert I chose is not on the menu and I think they may rotate through a few options. I had actually asked for tiramisu, but I was informed that only the pistachio ricotta tart was available. It tasted as great as it looked. I would liken the taste to a pistachio cannoli perhaps. The coffee was also excellent and in the typical Italian style and quantity—what we in the USA would simply call an espresso. This place really seems to pride itself on and is known for its seafood, so I would probably try a larger seafood option next time. Will return and I recommend to...

With a layover in Naples around dinnertime and looking for an nearby authentic Italian dining experience, we were thrilled to stumble upon this charming trattoria.
The unassuming establishment is owned and operated by a loving family with only a verbal menu communicated in Italian, along with universal gestures and some translations by the couple's daughter who will firstly ask you if the timid family dog laying under a nearby table, also a participant in the family business, bothers you, which, of course, it didn't.
We wholeheartedly agreed to have the family serve us whichever dishes they wished, a choice that we did not regret! While I have traveled and dinned in Rome, Florence, and Bologna, the feast cooked by this family was hands down the most delicious, authentic, and entertaining meal I have had so far in Italy.
Come with an open mind, appetite, and open heart and be dined and charmed at the...
Read moreNot good value for money. Me and my boyfriend were carrying suitcases because we travelled all day and we were hungry. We expected we could have Pizza here because that's what we saw in photos but turns out it was not served at all and had to choose something else. I chose gamberoni for 16 euros, only 3 pieces on there own were on the plate for that price. I also ordered oven baked potatoes but they looked more like boiled potatoes and the portion was tiny. Same for the melanzane side dish, I don't think it could have been tinier. My bf ordered calamari but the portion was calamari and squid but at least his portion was the size of a decent starter, unlike my gamberoni. We paid 48 pounds left no tip but we left completely hungry and had to get something else in the airport....
