Hostaria Corte Santa Lucia — Restaurant in Nardò

Right off a bad sign: the two of us ushered to the worst possible table when the space was nearly empty of diners. The same host then deposited a bottle of water on the table without bothering to pour it. The menu was repetitive (mixed this seafood pasta and that antipasto and this fried). We asked for grilled shrimp, but waiter insisted we make-do with fried and were served pathetically tiny over breaded reheated shrimp, along with what must have been three-day-old limp microwaved eggplant parmiagana. When the house special supposedly homemade pasta arrived swimming in olive oil we rejected it and asked for a check. Must to avoid. 40 euros--I wish we'd just given them the money and went...

Very good restuarant, fast service, very fast and efficient. Food was very good. There is a parking place jist outside of the alley. Ordered 3 steaks which were ok, meat quality could be better. Burrata and tomatoes twice, buratta with anchovies and dried tomatoes, mixed salad. All were good size and best quality and taste. Two pasta dishes amazing and fried calamari was lovely. Ended meal with 2 tiramisu smooth and very good, 2 millefeuille and lemon sorbet, all were great. 170 euro in all inclusing 500cc house red wine. Enjoyed it very much, great atmosphere, small...

It is a nice location in old town, in a courtyard inside a building. Seems very caracteristic and the food is really traditional which means local simple meals. Althought you find also some fish meals they are honestly not very good so I suggest to focus on traditional Parmigiana di Melanzane (tradititional aubergines -fantastic) and Fave e cicoria (smashed broadbeans with green vegetables)...
