Locanda Da Valentino — Restaurant in Norma

Very delicious food! We decided to drive here after going to the Gardens of Ninfa. This beautiful town of Norma sits on top of a hillside overlooking the valley. We went this past weekend (so not sure if this is the norm) and had to park on the street leading up the hill since the area by the restaurant is pedestrian traffic only (unless you live here).

We only had time to grab a quick bite to eat, so unfortunately couldn't try out many of the wonderful menu items. Both of our dishes were delicious, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was good, but the waiter should at least try to be a bit more enthusiastic about his duties. He was clearly not happy to have us there ( we were the only customers!) Didn't spoke a single word in any of three languages that we know. Overall impression : mediocre, which makes the worst note among ca. 10 restaurants, that we visited...

Si tratta di un piccolo ristorante (e anche B&B) situato nel centro di Norma in una traversa del corso principale. Offre un antipasto misto molto ricco e poi tre primi e tre secondi e infine dolci fatti in casa. Disponibili vini in bottiglia, ma anche il rosso della casa è ottimo. Avere pochi piatti permette di offrire una qualità elevatissima e, cosa che non guasta, un prezzo contenuto. Servizio e accoglienza piacevolissimi con inclusi consigli su cosa visitare in zona. Perfetto dopo una visita ai giardini di Ninfa distanti dieci minuti in auto. Ma consigliato per chiunque si trovi a passare in quelle belle zone. Assolutamente obbligatoria la prenotazione anche qualche giorno prima se non volete trovarvi nel triste ampio gruppo di quelli che si presentano e restano fuori perdendo un esperienza culinaria indimenticabile. Pubblico le foto dei piatti che abbiamo consumato, uno dei quali, in versione "prima e dopo", ma vi assicuro che tutti i piatti sono stati restituiti...
