There are some fantastic restaurants in Noto, but navigating the city streets and parking brings some challenge, and especially during a 48° heatwave! After finding Quadrilatiro on the outskirts of Noto, I have the answer.
As is common practice amongst my nationality, we arrived at 7:30 just as the restaurant opened. I imagined that we'd be the only guests until much later, but the place filled up surpisingly quickly with locals.
We'd come early because we couldn't tell online how well they accommodated a gluten-free diet (senza glutine), and expected to move on elsewhere. But we should not have been worried. Pasta options and the full choice of pizza were offered.
There appears to have been a lot of effort devoted to developing their dishes and menu, which diners benefit from. All four of us chose pizza and were rewarded without something out of the ordinary. I had the Pizza Bronte that has pistachio pesto. Simply extraordinary! Explore

Read moreOur dining experience started good. Good service and quick respons. After did order the food, starters and main dish they did serve the starters within 5 minutes. That was really quick, the bread came even later. We were very surprised that the primi for the children was served 5 minutes later. So we indicated that they have to wait, especially with our second dish. Buy the waitres explained that they were already preparing, but we indicated that they have to wait 30 minutes. But after a few minutes our pasta was served before we did eat half of our starter plate. They also removed the plates od our starter and in the meanwhile we we were surrounded by 4 or 5 staff people. They said they misunderstood us, but we also saw other tables were served too fast. It was very unfortunate if you want to spend some time with your family while having dinner. They offered us a free drink when I was paying, but they should react a bit earlier, so we left to finish our night...
