Poker Pizza — Restaurant in Noto

Charming staff. I really enjoyed my visit, collecting four different pizzas. The girl at the till delighted in translating things for me and, as I'm Scottish and commented on it, commiserated on the Queen's death (which had just happened). She gave me an espresso while I waited. I watched the dough being stretched, topped, and put in the wood-fired oven. We took our pizzas back to the villa and voted them all good, although I was sorry I had chosen a Neapolitan, as the combination of anchovies, capers and black olives, was too salty for me. I...

This tiny artisan pizza place was a find in Noto. We bought a large "lumberjack" pie to take away (that's the only option) and it was certainly the best pizza we've had in over a month of travel in Italy. The staff was courteous and kindly suffered our very limited Italian as we ordered and waited for our pizza. Next time in Noto, we will definitely visit Poker...
