Osteria GASTONE — Restaurant in Nuovo Circondario Imolese

The discovery of this restaurant was wonderful. It has to be a highlight of our trip to Imola and our 4 week tour of Italy. We were visiting from Australia and sadly only spent one night in Imola on the way to Venice.

We met Jack and Julia on arrival at Osteria GASTONE, what wonderfully friendly and warm hosts. The food was spectacular and the service exemplary. Jack was so proud to introduce us to his Dad who was working in the kitchen, what a wonderful experience of Italian family hospitality.

If you ever visit Imola, make sure Osteria GASTONE is a 'must do' on your food itinerary.

We had lunch at Osteria Gastone and really enjoyed our experience. We ordered the Garganelli Primavera, which was very good, and the pancetta—both dishes were flavorful and well-prepared. The price is also very reasonable (see photos of menu). The service was excellent; the staff was very attentive and welcoming throughout our visit. We sat in the outdoor seating area, which had a lovely ambiance—relaxed, charming, and perfect for a leisurely meal. It’s also great to see that the place is both family- and pet-friendly....

This place has been a highlight of our trip! The venue is great, the service is lovely, even the chef came out to chat and the food quality was amazing. We realised pretty quickly that Italians prefer their steak on the bloody side but the chef was happy to cook it a bit more for us. They had limited drinks on the menu, but the wine served was great and only 7 euro for a bottle. Well worth the visit and if we come back this way again we would...
