The service we received was absolutely appalling. We were a company of four and this is the worst service any of us have ever received in a restaurant. We all noticed from the beginning that the waiter was extremely moody and rude. We thought that we'd just ignore it and get on with our dinner and continue to be polite and nice to the waiter (we said that we'd cut him some slack as he might have had a bad day). The last straw before making a complaint was when we asked him to cut our pizza. He let out a massive sigh, like this was this request was too much to ask. At this point we asked to speak to the manager as his behavior had really started to ruin our evening. When we complained to the manager, he almost laughed at the situation, he didn't take the poor service of one of his waiters serious. He blamed the fact that the waiter had to wear a face mask, which made him in a bad mood. During our meal, after we had made a complaint another guest came to our table to apologies for the waiter, she was ashamed at how an Italian could be so rude, this affirmed to us that it was not just us making this whole thing up. We were not happy with our experience, the service was so bad it consumed the topic of conversation during the dinner. We asked the manager to consider some kind of a discount very politely and in a reasonable fashion. The manager stood from his chair at our table started shouting and even threatened to call the police. Immediately the whole restaurant stared at him, like what is going on....he embarrassed himself, quite sad really. At the prospect of us asking for a discount he then threatened to call the police running up and down the restaurant. How could this manager make such a fuss in front of all the guests after his waiter had clearly apologized. I would like to however like to thank the 3rd waiter on that evening an older gentleman who remained friendly and nice. I wish I could say that the food was good, but unfortunately it wasn't great either. The pizza was OK but that's about it....
Read moreExcellent service. Recommendations & suggestions by the waiter were top notch. All 3 waiters were quick to respond to all our signals and didn't need to ask/signal for a 2nd time. Deliveries were fast and precise to the person who ordered the plate directly. Food & ingredients were of excellent quality. Overall, recommended 100%, great place for dinner. I found the prices extremely low compared to the quality of the food; €60 for starter, 2 pizzas, limoncello, dessert and espresso (!). Analysis time. The melon was cut on its sweet parts, prosciutto was excellent quality.
Pizza. a) Pizza is classic Napoletana dough, and if I am to be thorough, it's a little bit thicker (not too 'airy' consistency), but original regardless; this is down to the pizzaiolo to decide and it's a matter of preference. What matters is that it was fluffy and it kept its consistency for more than 30 minutes, which shows that these guys can make a great napolitana pizza dough.
b) Pasata & mozzarella Both excellent, but the mozzarella... Oh my God, so creamy, so buttery, so tasty.
c)The alici were a tiny bit too salty for my taste but good quality nonetheless. The capers were probably the most tasty ones I've had for quite some time now. Mushrooms and peperoncini were of excellent quality.
Their version of tiramisu was to die for. You HAVE to order this if you want there.
Their espresso is also very nice, don't forget to order one before you leave!
Many thanks for the...
Read moreThe expectations were high when we visited Kelos. We had read good reviews and wanted to splash out a bit on our last night in Sardinia. Little did we know that we were about to embark on the worst dining-out experiences either of us had ever had. The service we got was absolutely shocking. The waiter mocked us with rudeness, arrogance, impatience and by making aggressive gestures. When we contacted the manager, he asked the waiter to apologise to us rather than dealing with the actual situation. The manager seemed completely fine with the waiter's excuse that he was uncomfortable wearing a mask while serving. Hello? We're in the middle of a pandemic and no one likes wearing a mask. It doesn't give you the right to go around and be awful towards one another. Especially when you work in a service based industry.
The situation got out of hand when the manager lost his ability to control his emotions. I have never seen a grown man behave in that way. He was shouting words that I won't repeat in front of the whole restaurant and it ended up with two of us going outside as we felt threatened. We left in shock. On top of this. We had to pay the full bill. The manager didn't even offer us a reduction of the bill.
The food itself was ok, but way too pricey. The pizza was decent, but the rest of the food lacked flavor. I would recommend anyone to stay away from this...
