Having tried just about every restaurant in the area I must flag La Locanda dei Mille for its excellent service, location, atmosphere and above all its FOOD. Family run with a chef who is clearly talented and passionate. Visited multiple times over summer and never let us down. The location and atmosphere can be intimidating but prices are reasonable and certainly competitive. Recommended for both couples looking for romance or families and friends with a preference for fish (all truly FRESH and all good esp the tartare di gambero rosso, the antipasto di mare caldo, the orata and the zuppa di pesce) over meat (tortelli burro e salvia, al ragù, and a couple of main dishes for those who don’t want fish).. and to top it up.. they have the best GELATO one can find all freshly made on the day by the bucket load. I am writing this review in English though I am Italian because I live abroad and want international people to have a great time in my country. To all Italians — provare...
Read more⭐ They don’t even deserve one star. This place serves finger food at the price of a full meal. I ordered pasta with shrimp for my daughter, and they gave her one single shrimp on a pile of plain pasta. My dish was fish with mixed vegetables—what I received was barely two tablespoons of food. The fish had no seasoning, smelled awful, and was poorly cooked.
My son’s meal was also shockingly small, not even enough for a 7-year-old. When we tried to speak to the staff about it, the owner was so rude and blatantly racist. Instead of apologizing or offering to fix the meals, he told us to leave the restaurant—with two small children after waiting there for more than an hour .
I would never recommend this place for any kind of meal. Terrible food, terrible service, and an even...
Unbedingt...
