La Rustica — Restaurant in Orio al Serio

The pizza is amazing. One of the best pizzas around and it's also very wallet-friendly. Pizzas are made on display, very quick, and also taste like a real, Italian pizza. The stove is heated using wood, which makes pizzas even tastier!

The owner is friendly, although he can't speak English, so if you go there by yourself it's a good idea to download a translating app. The deliveryman helps with speaking too, but he's not always there, so you can't always count on him.

I wouldn't recommend taking any pasta-like dishes, because they are mostly rehashed (?). Also, there is very little space inside because the restaurant is "takeaway".

And, as we visited this restaurant few days in a row we got a little "souvenir" for free to our last order.

Overall, me and my family really enjoyed eating there, and we will definitely revisit the place some time...

Great place! We had 2 hours free between flights and decided to use it and have a pizza as we are in Italy. That was an excellent choice, great holiday ending. Pizza was excellent, delicious. And the best was that they have gluten free pizza!!! We were so suprised! My boyfriend shouldn't eat gluten as he doesn't tolerate it we thought it's impossible to eat something gluten free in Italy and we went to that pizzeria and they had it. It was the best gluten free pizza he has ever had. Mine with gluten was one of the best I've had too. Also we went after 3 pm so it was a break but the chef turned on the pizza oven just for us and was so nice even he didn't speak English so well we could understand each other. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could! The pizza is so delicious and super affordable. Really fast as well, they make the pizza in front of you and it's in and out of the oven within 5-10 minutes.

Cheese lovers: get the "quattro formaggi super", better referred to as the otto formaggi, eight delicious cheeses.

Or if you aren't picky and don't know what to choose from the 100+ options, I recommend the Fantasia, which is whatever the chef imagines to whip up. Because he gets to be creative, the chef is very generous with the toppings and the end result is an exciting array of different sections on the pizza.

They're also very kind and welcoming. Eat in or take back to your room if you're in a hotel nearby.
