Yesterday, on a Wednesday, we wanted something to eat. We drove to an Italian restaurant, but they were closed. Another restaurant in the same village also. Luckly with google map you can search at 'open restaurants'. After 1,5 hour driving through the mountains crossing many little villages, we believed on a Wednesday all restaurants in Italy were closed. We tried one more suggestion and in a little street we found a very fashenable restaurant with the name Senses. The owner, who also produce the wines and olive oils he serve, has a philosophy that your senses must be stimulated by good food and drinks. You can choose a la carte or a 3, 4 or 5 diner for a fast price. The chef, who speaks English, made for us a surprise meal. He started with an amuse, consisting of a hand made ricotta in gazpago. The taste and structure was so good. But the chef promised us, we will go to next level with every dish. The anti paste was a carbonara without pasta, but with poached egg. With this plate we had fine bread with olive oil. I never had someting that delicious. With our meal we had a very nice white Pecorino wine. It match so good with the meal. The pasta was a spagetti with a deliscious tomato sauce, 3 colour tomatoes, basil and grated rigotta. Only the smell was so good and the taste even better. As desert I had pistace cream with apricots topping and my friends had a cheescake with strawberry and ginger. We ended with a real espresso and get a special digestive with it. The service was very kind and make us feel very special.

Meraviglioso ristorante, intimo e raffinato, dove ogni dettaglio è curato così come il cibo e l'accoglienza. Menù alla carta ma anche possibilità di scegliere tre o quattro portate a scelta nel menù del giorno ad un prezzo davvero competitivo e gustare così tutte le squisite pietanze. Piatti presentati divinamente e ottima qualità del cibo fanno di questo splendido locale un motivo per conoscere un posto nuovo e particolare dove assaporare anche il vino da loro prodotto, ottimo, oltre ad altri vini italiani e stranieri, ma non solo vino. Infatti è possibile acquistare anche un eccellente olio evo prodotto dalla loro attività che durante il pranzo ho potuto assaggiare insieme a varie tipologie di pane sempre di loro produzione. Un elogio particolare agli chef per aver deliziato il palato con una guancia di vitello eccezionale che non dimenticherò per la morbida e succulenta consistenza, come anche la cortesia del personale di sala.Torno molto volentieri in questo locale dove la cortesia, professionalità e ambiente sono ben presenti ed ho apprezzato molto il nuovo menù del nuovo executive Chef Davide che ha proposto dei piatti innovativi e perticolari, una lode speciale alle Chips di baccalà, gnocchi e dolce. Il menù proposto non ha una grande varietà di portate in quanto segue molto la stagionalità dei diversi ingredienti, comunque sia la materia prima è di ottima qualità. Noi abbiamo scelto di fare una degustazione che comprendeva antipasto, primo e secondo e dobbiamo dire di essere usciti davvero sazi. L’unica cosa è che abbiamo trovato la pasta troppo salata (ovviamente è un gusto personale). Il personale è giovanile e disponibile, unico consiglio che potrei dare è quello di avvisare quando si consegna il menu la sostituzione di un ingrediente con un altro e non dopo che il cliente ha già scelto. A noi è capitato con il dolce dove le fragole erano state sostitute dalle albicocche….il dolce era comunque buono però avrei preferito saperlo nel momento in cui mi consegnavano il menù e non dopo aver già scelto.

Il menù proposto non ha una grande varietà di portate in quanto segue molto la stagionalità dei diversi ingredienti, comunque sia la materia prima è di ottima qualità. Noi abbiamo scelto di fare una degustazione che comprendeva antipasto, primo e secondo e dobbiamo dire di essere usciti davvero sazi. We have visited Roberto Dragani and his beautiful restaurant on our trip as wine buyers in the Abruzzo region. Besides the unique location, the artistic ambiance and the sheer endless winelist, this restaurant is a perfect example of a brilliant idea, lots of passion and dedicated co-workers. If you are in the region, my absolute advice is to visit Senses.! Let them prepare a tasting menu of 4/5 courses and be prepared to a lot of “oohh and ahhh’s” You will enjoy the best food for many miles around, the best wines (from their own vineyards !) and the most dedicated owner I have ever met. Will be back soon!!!

This is a fantastic place to enjoy a meal. The restaurant itself is elegantly simple, the service is first rate and the wine list is excellent. And the food! Fresh, mainly local ingredients are creatively combined to make the most delicious antipasti and entrees; you can taste all of the delicately balanced ingredients. Everything, of course, is also beautifully presented. I highly recommend The Vinyl Senses to anyone seeking the perfect fine dining experience. And when you go, try the brownie...
