Ristorante Masseria Montelauro — Restaurant in Otranto

Excellent pasta! We ate in the restaurant one evening whilst staying in the hotel.

I had the seafood carbonara which had a thick, rich & flavoursome sauce, and was loaded with seafood. Nick had one with tomato sauce & a cured meat which had amazing depth of flavour. We shared the swordfish gratin with apple & sultans - found this a little plain but perhaps it’s just not to my taste. Would go for all pasta next time.

We are so grateful to have celebrated our wedding lunch at Masseria Montelauro. The food was sensational. A classic Pugliese feast full of local ingredients and fresh fish. We ate under the veranda with a simple but elegant table, the staff were friendly and great. It was such a successful meal, if only we could do it all over again....

Nice people but one of the worst meals I’ve had to date. Fish wasn’t fresh, greens were soggy and without seasoning, and gnocchi...
