Ristorante Rua De li Travaj — Restaurant in Patù

DISASTER! VERY DISAPPOINTING! We heard about this place and wanted to try it out so we booked a table for 7 a day in advance specifically asking to sit outside in the piazza of this small but pretty village. When we arrived all outside table were taken bar for one which was laid out for 8 which we naturally assumed was ours. When we gave them the reservation name we were told that our table was in the small and pokey courtyard in the back. We naturally complained and asked to speak to the person who took our reservation. After a session of each member of the staff blaming each other it transpired that the actual owner took our booking. When we asked to speak to him we were given the pathetic excuse that he he was too busy!! Whilst this debate went on another local family turned up and said that they had booked that same morning and were given the last and only table left outside. It eventually transpired (some of us speak Italian) that they were friends of the owner and as a result we were shafted to the table in back soul less courtyard. We tried to make our point to the lady who seemingly ‘welcomed’ guests and were told that there was nothing that she can do and that there was another table who had just finished their sweets and that if we were to wait a few minutes they would prepare it for us. At that point in the evening and without a reservation for another restaurant during high season we accepted to do so. 40 mins later we were still waiting! I went to the table to see what was keeping them and found out that they hadn’t even ordered their desserts yet! When we confronted the same lady in charge she very rudely and impertinently said if you don’t like it then you can leave!! It was 10pm by then and our whole evening had been ruined. This is what happens when some restaurants get too big for their boots. But what I think what was the most shameful of all was that the owner didn’t even have the ‘meat’ balls to face the situation. Shame!!! Will never go back...

Unfriendly owner unprofessional staff. Without reservation you can't get to the outside area. Inside we're 45 Celsius and crowded as the new customers rolled in. I must say I'm 35 and never ever ever in my life happened that I ask for 2 cokes in a restaurant and we got served two unopened cans of coca cola just as it is... The food was spot on and must say the chips were one of the best we ever had. Main courses did not include the sides for a price of 13 and 12 euros. As we asked for the bill they sent us to the middle of the restaurant where the owner used an old calculator where he threw some numbers in and got a paycheck out with just the total amount of 41 euros. I wouldn't...

Per il compleanno della mia ragazza prenoto in questo ristorante alle 21.30. Arrivo puntuale. Nessuno mi accoglie. Chiedo a un cameriere (carnagione scura, capelli corti, magro, aveva una maglietta diverso da tutti gli altri) mi dice di aspettare e se ne va. Passano 15 minuti richiedo nuovamente alla stessa persona se si é liberato un tavolo, mi dice che lo sta preparando. Passano altri 15 minuti..... me ne voglio andare.... alla fine faccio un ultimo tentativo e cambio camerie (giovane e con un codino) non sa cosa rispondermi ma provvede immediatamente a trovarmi un tavolo, Lo pulisce e ci fa accomodare e apparecchia. Finalmente alle 22.00 siamo al tavolo. Per fortuna ci fanno accomodare nel giardino sul retro, tra due alberi di agrumi. Ambiente piacevole anche se molto affollato. Arriva un antipasto offerto, piacevole sorpresa, buone le crocchete alla mente, pane molto buono. Ottimo vino rosato della casa - negramaro. Mix di antipasti abbondanti e buoni. Come primo prendo orecchiette al grano arso, a mio modesto avviso di arso non c'era nulla, per lo meno il condimemto alle cime di rapa e la pasta erano veramente ottimi. La mia ragazza prende polpettine al sugo, insapori. Caffè e liquore al finocchio selvatico, buono. Chiedo il conto, per mia svista lo chiedo al primo cameriere che ci ha accolto. Mi risponde che sarebbe tornato subito. Scompare. Per avere il conto parlo nuovamente con il ragazzo con il codino che ci ha accolto e serviti durante la serata. Gentilissimo. 44 euro in due.

Tra alti e bassi la serata é giunta a conclusione, viste le recensioni mi aspettavo molto di più. Se non fosse stato per il primo cameriere il servizio sarebbe stato...
