Fermento Perugia — Restaurant in Perugia

Went there last night with friends to celebrate a birthday. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Lots of young, high-energy waiters that showed more interest in serving us in a speedy fashion as opposed to be attentive to the needs of their patrons. I picked a salmon filet with roasted eggplants and zucchini on the side. Presentation of the dish was acceptable. The taste was at best substandard; salmon was dry and unflavored; veggies were completely unseasoned...I guess this would be a perfect dish if you want to manage your high blood pressure or if you are restricted to a low-sodium cardiac diet! The other dishes were "ok" according to my friends. At the time of the birthday cake (which we brought in after purchasing it from a specialty bakery), we were served very tiny slices of the cake. Although surprised that 7 such small pieces made up the entire cake, we finished our meal and asked for the check. Once ready to pay (you don't pay at the table but directly at the cash registered), I noticed the well-stocked dessert display which included about half of our own cake! When asked to why we weren't offered the rest of our own cake, the waiter became a little rude and said that they were keeping it in a refrigerated area to avoid getting spoiled. (And we were like "Right!?!?)

Overall a place with great potential but lacking of customer service skills, attention to details and maybe they should learn one thing or two about spices and flavors.

Gave 2 stars (instead of 1) just because all the waiters were good looking and pleasing...

Another burger disappointment with frozen out of package fries. They were extremely busy so the staff wasn’t very attentive although when they were - they were nice. They advertise their cocktails and I was truly hoping for something fabulous as they look and sound great: unfortunately the barman was not there, I was told, so I was only offered basic classics. Nothing wrong with a good Old Fashion. Just mine was mainly water and sugar. I gave it back, discreetly, not to sadden the girl who tried her best 🥲🥲🥲 I truly wish they were what they advertise to be!!! Great concept. Poor...

Ci siamo stati giovedì sera, eravamo in 4, ad aperitivo e a cena. Appena arrivati i camerieri sono stati gentili e ci hanno servito subito, ma dopo 10 minuti ci hanno portato via le sedie in più chiedendoci insistentemente se volessimo qualcos'altro nonostante sapessero dalla prenotazione che avevo effettuato che rimanevamo li a cena dopo l'aperitivo. Ci alziamo per andare a fumare fuori e puff, sparito il nostro tavolo ed i nostri cocktail sul tavolo. Abbiamo dovuto attendere altri 20 minuti fuori al freddo affinché ci ripreparassero il tavolo (che avevo prenotato anche per cena, ripeto). Ci mettiamo a sedere, ordiniamo, e ci portano subito da mangiare. Peccato che non riuscivamo a conversare tra di noi a causa del casino che c'era nel locale. Per il resto il servizio é rapido e professionale ma il cibo mediocre e non lo consiglio a stomaci deboli. Non ci ritornerò più, non tanto per il cibo o per gli errori sul riservarci il tavolo salvo poi toglierlo per poi rimettercelo, quanto perché é davvero impossibile conversare con le persone al tuo stesso tavolo a causa della confusione. Non é un "ristorante", é una macchina...
