Laguna Beach Ristorante — Restaurant in Pianello del Lario

Been here many times before and always had a lovely pizza on the lakeside terrace, however, today was dreadful. First the manageress advised that we can’t sit on the lakeside l terrace because there were only 2 of us and they may have tables of 4 arrive! There were 17 free tables (not one table taken!) with 50 minutes of service left before closing! Then when we were seated the same girl advised there was no pizza available, so our day eating pizza on the lakeside terrace was over. We ordered penne Ragu, which was dreadful. Worst I’ve had anywhere in Italy (big statement I know). Aperol was served in a scratched up tumbler; Hugo didn’t taste like a Hugo and can of coke was served without a glass, ice or lemon. Appalling service and I was embarrassed for them. Won’t be back.

Tasty food but shocking service. This restaurant is beautifully situated on the lake and we made a reservation which is advisable to ensure a table overlooking the lake. We ordered the risotto with perch fillets which was delicious. Unfortunately the whole experience was let down by the extraordinarily poor service from the waiter covering this area. Having served our food that was the last we saw of him. We were left with our empty plates on the table for over 1/2 an hour. I’m certainly not a fan of rushed service but I’d at least like the empty plates cleared. When he finally did clear the plates we were not asked if we wanted anything else - dessert, coffee, etc. My wife and I were going to order dessert and coffees, however if the waiter couldn’t be bothered to ask then we certainly weren’t going to, so we paid the bill and left! Пришли мы с мужем в ресторан на терассе, сначала долго ждали, когда нам подготовят столик. Пока стояли, я заметила, что в корзинке с нарезанным хлебом, который официанты берут голыми руками, лежит так же полотенце. Один официант убирал со стола тарелки и его руки испачкались. Он вытер пальцы об это полотенце, лежащее на хлебе. Мне стало не по себе. Даже если бы не было covid и это была бы не Италия, я б побрезговала есть этот хлеб. Нас пригласили за столик. На лавочке были птичьи какашки. Но я убрала и подстелила салфеточку. Потом пришел официант принять заказ. Об улыбках речи вообще не шло. Ощущение, что нас ненавидели с первого взгляда. Мы не знаем итальянского, я пыталась на английском говорить, но официант не охотно шел на контакт и отвечал нам довольно грубо и не понятно. Мы пытались сделать заказ. Коктейлей не было никаких. Половину заказа озвучили (пицу и сок дыни и яблока) и я хотела заказать еще десерт. Но не успела. Официант просто развернулся попой и ушел. Мой муж громко кричал ему вслед, мол извините, момент, но тот нас просто игнорировал. Даже другие гости обернулись. Потом минут через 5 пришла другая официантка и я дозаказала ей десерт. Еще через 10 минут она принесла 2 яблочных сока. Я попыталась объяснить, что мы не заказывали 2 яблочных. Один был сок дыни. Она сказала, что его нет. И десерта моего нет. В общем, мы просто ушли оттуда. Я не очень понимаю, как это заведение в условиях несоблюдения элементарной гигиены и предельной некорректности с клиентами ещё открыто. Ставлю уверенную...
