McDonald's Pisa Darsena — Restaurant in Pisa

Nice to see people eating from the boot of their cars outside McDonald's even under the rain! Phenomenon Covid.

Cannot complain about the food, but do worry about the sustainability claims of McDonald's. There is so much waste after finishing a meal and no apparent sorting by staff... Not even a bin for plastic in sight.

I understand that McD's established some time ago aspirational goals for 2030 (beyond those of 2020) that include no waste being sent to landfill or incineration and a high rate of recycling in each restaurant by 2025 (in order also to accelerate the circular economy).

I seriously wonder if this sustainability plan/ framework has been shared with the franchisee of the...

Went at a quiet time, around 6 pm on 29th December. Easy to order and pay on digital screens. Unfortunately, no table service today so had to collect from the collection point when the order was ready. Additionally, there was no toilet paper in one of the cubicles (hence 3 for service). However, there was a nice relaxing atmosphere, probably because it was quiet at the time, everything was fast and easy and the food was what you expect...

I recently visited the McDonald's at Pisa Darsena and had a nice experience. The restaurant was impressively clean, making for a pleasant dining atmosphere. Convenient parking spots are located right in front of the door, which is a great convenience. The playground area is perfect for keeping kids entertained. The food was fresh and hot, and the staff were both friendly and helpful. It's an excellent choice for a short stop on the way...
