Nice place for hiking. I'd have used my tent on the camping place if it wasn't suddenly so cold and windy outside (drop of 20°C in one day, didn't that coming). The staff was friendly and helpful. They even offered me a deal with dinner and breakfast given the situation, which is nice from them. The room was cozy and more than enough for 2 nights (bed and bathroom were alright). Also the street was very quiet, so no disturbance at night or even the evening. However the building is not soundproof at all and I could hear clearly until 10pm people talking in the restaurant, sometimes even with the radio on. Given the pilgrims staying there for the night, that was really noisy at some times in the evening, almost like a party, making me regret I couldn't use my tent. But after 10pm it was suddenly quiet and perfect for sleep. The dinner's menus were uneven. The mushroom menu was great, but the hunter's menu was really lacking vegetables, and the ratio meat/polenta was really unbalanced with not enough polenta. It was tasting good but the plate was mostly just meat (good thing there were bread). I guess next time I'd make my own menu. Breakfast was mostly sweetness, with lot of home made tarts. Otherwise there are cereals and one plate of ham and cheese. The apples were a nice addition. It would have even be better if there were other local fruits like pears and peaches. And even better if there were more salty options, like eggs and a little variety in meats and cheeses. Wifi was a bit unstable but enough for simple browsing. The shower was strangely limited in temperature. It wasn't cold but the maximum was like 36°C (I'm used to 40°C hot showers to relax). Outside the old forest was wonderful, and with the strong wind that day the old road to Eremo was bewitching, almost eerie. Very recommended walk. Overall good experience but with room for...
