Antico Burchiello — Restaurant in Pordenone

Very nice location, friendly, professional, accommodating staff, very clean, and very nice quality food. We made the mistake of waiting too long to try to eat lunch on a Sunday afternoon and other restaurants turned us away (even at 2:20 when opening hours said 3:00), but the staff at Osteria Antico Burchiello welcomed us and were willing to accommodate us and prepare something vegan-ok for us, even if they were closing soon. And they didn’t make us feel rushed. It was very relaxed and we were able to enjoy our meal and experience. This Osteria seems to specialize in serving Italian seafood but was able to provide us with a very nice mixed salad, and a vegetable risotto. The staff were not familiar with the restaurant and exactly what is and isn’t vegan (vegan = no animal products: no eggs, no milk, butter, milk powder, fish, honey, meat), but were able to give us a delicious dish with no eggs, butter, etc. I’m not sure if the risotto was 100% vegan, there might have been some small amount of sauce with something not vegan, but they tried their best and it was a delicious risotto. Domenica a pranzo in quattro persone alle 14.00 (quando ormai avevano pranzato tutti), dopo una lunga attesa, finalmente alle 15.20 abbiamo cominciato a pranzare uno alla volta perchè purtroppo anche i piatti arrivavano in tempi diversi... Questo può essere passabile, ma quando alla fine ci si siamo trovati un conto di 162,00 € per un litro di vino in caraffa della casa, 1 bottiglia da litro di acqua, un primo, una tagliata, 2 rombi, 3 caffè di cui 1 corretto, capite che ci sono girate le scatole. I prezzi del menù del giorno erano scritti in una lavagna sul muro e sulla riga del rombo c'era scritto €18... Al momento della contestazione ci è stato detto che il prezzo si riferiva alla riga sopra... a quel punto abbiamo detto: ma allora ci deve essere un altro prezzo! ...e loro ammettendo l'errore non si sono mossi dalla loro posizione... giustamente hanno trovato i polli da spennare ma non fessi, per cui ora avvisiamo i prossimi avventori del comportamento di questa osteria...allucinante!
