Ristorante Golden beach Porto Empedocle — Restaurant in Porto Empedocle

Non è nel mio stile denigrare un’attività commerciale, soprattutto se si tratta di un ristorante come il Golden Beach, dove negli anni mi sono sempre trovato benissimo. È un posto che ho consigliato a tanti amici, portandoli lì per compleanni, cene di rimpatriata e altri momenti speciali. Sono sempre uscito soddisfatto e grato per la qualità e l’atmosfera. La mia precedente recensione, che non ho intenzione di cancellare, ne è testimonianza.

Purtroppo, l’altro giorno, con mia moglie, ho vissuto un’esperienza molto diversa. Siamo tornati con la voglia di una bella mangiata di pesce, ma la situazione non è stata all’altezza delle aspettative.

Già dal vino, qualcosa non andava: in passato veniva servito in bottiglia sigillata, stavolta ci hanno portato una caraffa da mezzo litro. Alla mia richiesta del vino in bottiglia, me ne è stato portato uno già aperto. Non è una gran cosa, ma il vino si stappa davanti al cliente.

Abbiamo ordinato il classico “Pescato con tre primi”, che include un mix di antipasti e primi a base di pesce. Gli antipasti: – Frittura fredda e dura. – Caponata molto acida. – Cozze accettabili. – Insalata di polipo dura come gomma. – Arancinette e sarde a beccafico mangiabili, ma niente di speciale.

I primi: – Risotto troppo liquido, quasi in un brodo senza sapore. – Paccheri un po’ duri. – Cavati scotti.

Alla fine, un sorbetto buono e il caffè offerto. Un piccolo gesto, che comunque ho apprezzato.

Mi dispiace davvero scrivere queste cose, perché ci sono affezionato a questo posto. Ma è giusto anche dire le cose come stanno. Lo faccio con rispetto, nella speranza che possa servire a migliorare. Ci tornerò, perché credo nelle seconde possibilità. Ma se la qualità non tornerà quella di un tempo, mi dispiacerà doverlo togliere dalla mia lista dei ristoranti preferiti.

Worst restaurant of my life. The restaurant looks like a dentist office (no decoration, bright lights….). We went there for the view on the sea but we were put inside. My fish was too cooked and without seasoning. I ordered a mixed salad with it and it was like the pouched ones you can by at Liddl + some tomatoes that looked like there were just put out of the freezer (still without seasoning). Unfriendly waiter, overcharged, don’t go there! I didn’t know that there is a 2€ cover. Another table had some bread and grissini or something which is normally what you’d get for a 2€ cover which is exorbitant! but I had none yet I had to pay 2€ for sitting there to have my meal?!
