Solero — Restaurant in Potenza Picena

Whilst spending the day on the beach with my family, we booked this restaurant for lunch. There were next to no vegetarian dishes so I asked if I could order a salad on the menu but without the meat. They suggested feta instead which I agreed would be very nice. We enjoyed our meal and as it can be difficult to find vegetarian options in Italy we decided to go back a couple of days later. This time my salad arrived with the meat still in it. We let them know and reminded them what we had ordered. They brought me a new salad and I began to eat it. As I ate the salad I realised there was still slices of meat in it, they had clearly just picked out the pieces of meat, missing a bunch of pieces, added a bit of feta and served it to me again. This is beyond disrespectful. Aside from personal opinion on vegetarianism, my choice not to eat meat should be respected, especially as a paying customer. There was no apology, no acknowledgment, just waiters looking at each other awkwardly when they realised their chefs obnoxious, lazy antics had been discovered. The water has a nice tempreture, the weather depends on the day, but overall it's great for a swim in the open sea. There is also a small train station right behind the sea shore and trains often pass through it, never stopping for long. You can either rent an umbrella and two chairs for about 20 euros or you can stay on the free part of the beach on your own towel. Either way, you can enjoy a relaxing day...

We (two couples) had a wonderful relaxed and delicious dinner. Drinks (cocktails) could be a little stronger. But quality of food and service is really great.
