I'm not saying it must be the same experience for everybody, but for me at least it was quite disappointing..
First of all, I cannot comprehend how a restaurant can, at a touristy destination, function without waiters that speak English.. the guy that took our order couldn't even explain if we wanted the quattro formaggi pizza with tomato sauce or without, and an other waiter, that we called to the table, couldn't understand that we were asking for the bill.. unbelievable..
As for the food, I had the 'Menu Mare' and my husband a 4 Formaggi pizza. The pizza was ok, nothing extraordinary, nothing bad. The menu however was a total disappointment.. Breakfast was equally basic and consisted of a croissant filled with something like custard with a choice of tea and coffee. The couple we were staying with went out to get breakfast elsewhere following their coffee on both mornings. The second night we ate in the restaurant which was of a higher standard than both the room and the breakfast and as they didn't have a menu in English the chef himself came out to explain everything and even personalised one dish for us, so I would give the restaurant a very good rating, but unfortunately the rest of the hotel was below par. To cap it all I got home to find the hotel had charged me 3 times for the rooms, so instead of paying €320.40, I had been charged €921.20! I booked through Booking.com who are trying to organise a refund for me, but in the meantime it has put a damper on the...
