I ordered lasagna based on the photo on the menu and thought that being in Italy it should be good. Wrong. It was about 10mm thick with no discernible layers, nothing like the 50mm lasagna in the photo and it was the worst lasagna I have ever eaten. My wife ordered the salmon pasta and that was even worse than my lasagna. It was dried packet pasta and the only salmon in it might have been the oil from the bottom of the can of supermarket salmon. We went past it in the day and it was busy with people having a drink and thought it must be ok because it was so busy, but that was a mistake. Read moreThis was one of the only places we found open on Mondays and midday, when most everything is closed. The hot dishes are pre-made and reheated but we're surprisingly good. We had risotto with porcini mushrooms and basic cheese ravioli with tomato sauce and both were tasty. We also took pretzels, which were delicious the next morning. This is a one-man shop - he cooks, makes coffee, packages, serves, and is the cashier, all while maintaining a pleasant demeanor. Not friendly at first (when we tried but struggled to order in Italian, we got something like 'Yes English' as reply). Then, when one ice-cream dropped of its cone right when taking it from the counter they we're rather unfriendly and certainly not customer-oriented (hard to say the ice-cream was held too much tilted or it was not properly put on the cone by them, but they simply sticked to the 'it is your fault and so you have to pay the old and the new ice-cream.
