We made a reservation here because I have celiac disease, and there appeared to be great gluten free options on the menu. I wish I could say the experience was better. While the food was excellent, the service was not. When we arrived, I mentioned that we had a reservation for 915. The staff member at the front was having difficulty locating my name. Because I have a bit of a long and non traditional name, I saw it on the book, and pointed it out. It was if I had deeply inconvenienced him. We were aware the kitchen closed at 945, so we had already looked at the menu and were ready to order. He did not return to take our order until around 930, and when we made our order, he said - not possible, kitchen is closed, only pizza. And then he walked away. We were confused, but when he returned, we apologized and offered to order something else. Instead, he confirmed that we had originally ordered the steak, and then left again. When order came out, he all but dropped it in front of me. My partner ordered a salad, and was never brought oil/ vinegar. Listen, we all have bad nights. We brushed it off as just that, and would have continued the rest of our night as usual, if the staff member hadn’t start complaining loudly (in italian) to another server, about us. Fortunately, we both understand Italian, and heard every word. We never saw him again, and left with a bad taste in our mouths, that wasn’t...
Read morePizza Hans is hyped and mentioned in several blogs we’ve read in preparation of our holiday, but also on the camping people were talking about the famous pizza Hans.
You need a reservation and the hype is real on the amount of people going there. Unfortunately the hype is not real on the quality of the food nor service.
Food: This at minimum a mediocre pizza. Recently I had a better pizza in Edinburgh Scotland. So if you can’t beat the Scots in Italy with your pizza skills that’s telling you something.
Service: Very neutral people and no smiles at all. When we left some of the grumpy looking waiters was crossing our path, normally you would expect him to pause and let us pass, but this fellow just continued his walk making part of our group needed to wait on him. If he was carrying the Olympic flame maybe, but this guy was empty handed.
So service very poor and the pizza mediocre at best. Not worth the wait...

Hans Pizzeria really lives up to the hype! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with friendly smiles and made us feel welcome.
The pizza was fantastic—crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. We also loved the fresh salad bar, especially the potato salad and pasta options. It was a great add on.
Service was good overall, but no one checked on us after the food arrived—we had to flag someone down a few times. Not a big deal, but worth noting.
Most staff spoke English, and it was the only place in Italy we saw Sriracha and Tabasco on the table—nice touch!
Definitely recommend for a casual and tasty meal in the Dolomites. It’s a popular place so it’s a noisy (not for a romantic night out), but...
