Ristorante Pizzeria Amico — Restaurant in Rimini

Well-deserved five stars :) We had lunch and dinner there. Such high ratings were mainly influenced by the quality and taste of the food, but also by the affordable price, friendly staff and the location. For lunch we ordered an appetiser and two main courses. For a starter we took Tuna Tartare with Wasabi Mayonnaise, Toasted Hazelnuts and Olive Earth. The taste was wonderful, the tartare was very delicate, and the hint of wasabi complements the harmony of taste. After a long consideration of what I wanted the most for the main course, I chose Grilled Pork Tomahawk with French Fries and it was a bullseye! The meat was prepared perfectly and the fries were very good. My girlfriend ordered Strozzapreti with Sausage, Mushrooms, Grana, Truffle and Cream. Pasta with the consistency we love - kind of chewy but still aldente. It was so delicious that I ordered this pasta for myself for dinner. My fiancé for her dinner ordered the Narcos pizza - 100% Italian tomato puree, 100% Italian fior di latte mozzarella, spicy local Neapolitan salami, Leccino olives, and aubergines. Lovely pizza, no disappointment. Of course, I should also mention the very good quality sparkling house white wine Frizzante at 11 euros per litre!!! So refreshing, light and great with the meal. Here I have a small note for the owner, if he/she reads the reviews. Please do not take the plate of the person who has just finished eating, while the other person is still eating. I had an impression that the staff every time took my empty plate straight after my last bite and while I was still chewing it so that was a bit awkward and no need for such a rush. The restaurant looks nice and we found a nice table although it was quite full at that time. The Service was attentiv, we could order quickly. We also received a basket with bread after we gave our order. We ordered Pizza and Pasta. After 10 minutes the Pizza arrived. We waited a bit cause we assumed that the pasta will arrive soon too. After 5 minutes we started eating the Pizza. We were already half through the Pizza when we asked the first time for the pasta. The service told us she would ask the kitchen. We never received an answer. 10 minutes later we asked another one. That one told us that it is normal that Pizza comes much faster than the rest since it comes from the Pizza kitchen while the pasta comes from the normal kitchen. Got seated fairly quickly. Started with dry bread. Ordered food. Pasta arrived after a reasonable time, but the seafood was a bit overcooked. The BIG problem was that my partners pizza did not arrive until I was done eating!! We asked after some time what was happening, and only then we were told the two different kitchens were out of sync. This should have been mentioned up front!
