Great experience for the whole family. We read up on some great reviews, and decided to go. We were not disappointed. We booked a table for 4 on a Sunday evening (2 parents, and 2 kids ages 3 and 6). We got there half an hour early, and were quickly sitted without a fuss. We toured the place a bit. The restaurant is big and there are a few areas to explore. The design and style are very nice, and clearly someone took the time to design a clear and successful concept. My kids, especially the old one, where very happy with the decore, and were going "arrrrrg" everywhere. Speaking of the theme, don't forget to visit the bathroom. It's thematic, and it's an interesting experience to handle your business in there while Hanz Zimmer's Pirates of the Caribbean blazes in the speakers... We sat next to the ship's wheel and mast, and where immediately greeted by a friendly waiter. The place has a host of pirate like waiters that buzz around efficiently, serving as it comes. They are fast, very kind, and friendly. The music was an upbeat mash up of 80's songs. While probably thematically incorrect, being a child of the 80's, I enjoyed it a lot. The menu has a nice variety of dishes from hamburgers to steaks to pasta and other Italian staple dishes. The prices for the area are very reasonable. We decided to order Angus hamburgers for us, and nuggets for the kids with an extra side of fries and potato wedges. The nuggets were your regular every restaurant nuggets, but executed well, and were tasty and crispy. The wedges were well seasoned with salt and garlic, but felt a bit tired (like it's been a while since they were initially cooked). The hamburgers, and particularly the patty were really great; flavourful, moist, and soft, with good amount of fat. We finished happy, and the kids were also happy which is no easy feat. If you're looking for a great place to drink coffee, drink beer, eat, listen to music (live in some evenings), which is family friendly, look no further. Highly recommended. We...
Read moreUPDATE after Bounty's RUDE reponse below. The disrespect Bounty are expressing in their response once again shows their total disrespect to customers. They are clutching at straws. At no time did ANY of our group sit down when we approached one of many free tables at 10.45pm, and there was no queue of 100 people (wishful thinking on their part!!) There was no misunderstanding; we were shown off the premises by unpleasant, ignorant, badly trained staff. In all the years we have been coming to Rimini (feel free to view my other numerous Google posts!) we have never experienced anything like this. BOUNTY IS DEFINITELY A BAR TO AVOID!!
MY ORIGINAL POST: Unlike the friendly welcome that we always experience at other bars along Rimini's sea front, 4 of us arrived at Bounty at 10.45 on a Thursday evening. We spotted several empty tables scattered around the venue. We went towards some free tables at the back, intending to sit and have a drink, but we were accosted by someone who appeared to be a manager (accompanied by security guards) who demanded that we leave because we did not have a reservation. The tone of this very unpleasant man suggested it was because we are English, although we are fluent Italian speakers. They basically ejected us, not inviting us to make a reservation in any way and walked us off the premises!! We have been coming to Rimini for several years and have NEVER been treated like this before. We are well dressed people of a certain age (although a bit younger than the band playing!) and do not expect this uncivilised and unnecessary treatment by people who should be much better trained. I would advise anyone who wants to have a good evening without hostility from staff, to go to other similar bars nearby who play excellent live music and welcomed us the same evening without reservation. Their response to my comment on Trip Advisor, instead of giving an apology, was to call me a liar; this reflects their arrogance and total lack of respect...
Read moreit is impossible for us to judge anything else than the service. the booking system is ridiculous. you can try to book a table online (telephone is not picked up). you have to enter a lot of data (including your birth date?). then you get notice back. we got several refusals. to ask for table earlier or later you enter all your data again. at last we got confirmation only to get a refusal several hours later. then we got a WhatsApp if we wanted to come?????? this is not really worth it
this is an update, an answer to the owner's comment: we appreciate the sincerity with which the owner has answered to our review, therefore now 3 stars. to clarify: In the first sentence we give the clear statement that it is just a review about service. busy or not, high season or not, after seeing the place and really finding it an interesting restaurant (at that time there was understandably no chance to get a table, as we just walked by), we got very frustrated by the reservation system and the chaos. finally getting a WhatsApp confirmation after trying 4 different days and times (always entering the same data again and again) we were looking forward to a nice evening just to be frustrated again with a rejection of that confirmation 2-3 hours later. you cannot do something like that! we think this is valuable critique, not to discredit anybody, maybe the reservation system can be modified to somehow...
