Ai Tre Massi - Ristorante - Pizzeria — Restaurant in Riposto

We went to Ai Tre Massi as a big group of 15 people. We were seated quickly and even presented with english menus. Pizza was nice. Unfortunatly, the positive experiences ended there. Firstly, one of our group had to go hungry because of her gluten-allergy, despite the restaurant advertising with the "schär" icon for gluten-free food, they didn't offer any of the advertised gluten free products. Secondly, portion sizes were considerably smaller compared to similarly prized restaurants in the area. The amount of food for the money was, depending on the dish, abyssmal. Also, some of our food was overcooked or even burned. The worst part was however, that on all 3 dishes that we had ordered that contained shellfish, the intestines were NOT removed. This resulted in a quite literally spoiled experience, since 3 of us ingested actual fecal matter before realising the chefs blunder. I sincerly hope this was a one of and is not the regular way of doing things. This type of health violation is unacceptable. However, the wait staff was very polite and forthcoming, even when one of us had to sent their food away because he deemed it inedible because of the taste.

We are a group of 4 people and all of us are amazed by the quality of food offered in this restaurant. All dishes came with a large potion!! The service was very fast and the staff were friendly. We ordered traditional seafood starter, smoked fish starter (swordfish, salmon and tuna), mixed fish snacks. They were super delicious 😋😋😋. For the main dishes, we had spaghetti with squid ink (unfortunately too salty for me); spaghetti with sea urchins (too salty for my friend), grilled octopus and pizza Mortadella! The pizza was the best, with pistachio cream, melting mozzarella😋😋😋 (my friend said it is the best pizza he ever had). Though it was super delicious, we could not finish it as we were already quite full after the starters! Overall, we think this is the best restaurant so far during our Sicily trip! Decent food, terrible service. To be hounst I do not think they like to serve tourists. My partner and I had a reservation for dinner, and I don’t even know have to put in to words how bad the service was. The staff was having their own dinner instead of taking our order. After 40 minutes they took our order and the food came quickly, the only positive thing about the place. After having our food, they did not asked once for refill for drink or desserts so we asked them for the check. After waiting 30 minutes to pay we asked again if we could pay and one girl just said carelessly we had to do it by the counter. We did and left without anyone saying thank you or welcome back or anything.

The food is good, but the service is the worst I ever experienced anywhere...
