Le Contrade — Restaurant in Sacile

Very classy, warm and cozy atmosphere for this small little restaurant. They open the kitchen early and you can arrive for dinner or simply have an apertivo from 18.00! The food is great, wine paring is amazing and the service impeccable, al for a very reasonable price. They manage to custom tale a 5 course menu ( for 2 ) so that you always get something different even if you go there often. The cost quality is definitely one of the best in town! The only small “downside” I can find is that they sometimes lack in consistency and the same dish sometimes is not as the previous time you eat it. Tried this place in Sacile recommended by the hotel. It was worth the drive. Food was excellent, waiter spoke enough english I didn't need to fumble with Google Translate. My seat next to a large open window allowed a dry yet unobstructed view of the passing thunder storm. It made the Apersol spritz taste even better! Pasta was perfection, absolutely delicious. Sauce was a tuna caviar and zucchini concoction that was awesome. Angus steak was a healthy portion ( my guess is about 10oz) and perfectly cooked, juice and tender while very lean. If you appreciate good food, this place cannot be beat. The flavours were incredible. Just away from the main square, this place could easily be missed, but, thanks to a recommendation by our Hotel (due Leoni) - we ate here on Monday night and were very impressed. The staff were very knowledgeable about the food and recommended local dishes. The wine too was superb. Rarely do I visit the same place twice on a short trip, but I will make the exception if I can get a table...
