Pizzeria alla Favola — Restaurant in Sacile

We found this fabulous family run restaurant by accident whilst looking for another place (which when we got there didn't stay) and ventured back to the pizzeria Favola. We ate very early so we were the only ones in the restaurant. It has a huge outside dining area as well as a very stylish interior We were given complimentary breads of which one was quite spicy so be careful if you are offered it, absolutely delicious. We started with brushetta tonno, which just melted in your mouth with the most delicious olive oil paste on the bruschetta itself mmmmm yummy. Main course was spaghetti alla carbonara, true carbonara with NO cream, simply spaghetti, bacon, egg and parmigiano cheese, absolutely delicious. We couldn't face dessert as were too full and finished with one of the best double machiato I think I've ever had. Christina who looked after was an delight and whilst there was a slight language issue, my translator app did me proud. This is obviously a locals restaurant as Christina told us they didn't get busy till much later in the evening. Pizza buona, cotta in forno a legna. Molto buono anche l'impasto. Da rivedere, per il modesto parere, il menù, troppo vario (spazia dalla pasta, alla carne, passando per il pesce fino alla pizza); magari è tutto buonissimo però preferisco i posti che si concentrano solo su determinate cose. Locale, ahimè, da rimodernare, soprattutto la parte esterna con i divanetti anni '90 che dovrebbero sicuramente essere rimossi. Peccato per questi ultimi particolari perché davvero la pizza ci è piaciuta ed anche il prezzo è al di sotto della media, quindi un altra nota...

First time here for a group gathering and it was great! The food was good and the service was better. It’s family friendly and a nice casual place to have a meal and enjoy coffee...
