What a terrible place. I don’t think a review can explain how woeful it was here but I will try for the good of anyone else thinking of coming here.
So it’s an Irish pub? Good craic you’d expect and warm hospitality you would think? Not a chance. Upon arriving at a near empty pub we went to sit a two seater table and were abruptly stopped by the rude dark haired bloke behind the bar wearing glasses. After much dispensation he asked a staff member to seat us in a dark hot and hidden corner of the venue. It’s a pub so come in order and sit yourself down and have fun. No, not here.
Of course from here it is table service it would seem so in a so called Irish pub we sat for ages trying to get their attention to no avail and zero engagement. Eventually we caught the eye of another spectacled chap who also had no customer service skills. Upon asking for a Crunch beer and a Baileys he said they don’t do Baileys - really? In a so called Irish pub? He said they only do water and beer. Again nothing else? Jamesons perhaps?
There’s a few wooden features, but some wood furniture and a couple of shamrocks painted around, but that doesn’t make you an Irish pub. There’s nothing either Irish or pub like about the place at all as the emphasis was on food and a minimum consumption. Shamrocks you say? It was just a sham truth be told. My partner settled for a water and the Crunch beer I had all the way from my back yard was past its best and just not very nice at all.
We done our best to leave as soon as possible but again no service to the point we had to go to the bar to pay. Upon presenting a receipt, the beer was €6.5, water €1.5 and a spurious €4 coppeta charge was added. I asked what it was and he said it was for service. We had a lengthy debate and he said it was normal in Italy! Is it ever! Upon visiting numerous venues in Italy over the decades I’ve only ever had good service and been able to tip as I wish. Ironic that the worst service I’ve had make up nonsense like this and rip you off. In short the place was a complete scam and quick to rip anyone off given the chance. The arcade element was a handful of machines and given all the rules in place felt like you couldn’t go to them and use them.
So, to summarise - it’s not a pub it is food led, it is not in the slightest bit Irish, they don’t do any Irish staples (I.e. whisky, Baileys etc) other than Guinness, staff are rude, they add an exorbitant service change to a bill (€8 for drinks and €4 added for no reason), customer service was appalling and they added an obscene amount to the bill for it, I had to even go to the bar to pay as no staff came, empty pub and you get sat out the way in a hot area, drink was of poor quality and past its best and there’s no arcade, just a few random machines you feel like you’re not allowed to use.
Whatever you do don’t come here. It’s out of the way as well so a long trek back to town. Probably the worst venue I’ve ever been to in Italy. Do you want 50% added to a small bill of drinks in a rubbish venue. Well this is the place...

I recently visited Beer House Irish pub in Salerno and had a generally positive experience. The food at this establishment was truly excellent, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds. The flavors were rich, and the overall quality of the dishes exceeded my expectations.
The service provided by the male assistants was outstanding. They were attentive, friendly, and ensured that our needs were promptly taken care of. Their professionalism and dedication added to the overall enjoyment of our visit, and they deserve recognition for their exceptional service.
However, I must mention that there was one female staff member who seemed disinterested and appeared to lack enthusiasm when serving us. While the majority of the staff were outstanding, this particular employee's demeanor was noticeable and somewhat detracted from the overall experience. It would be beneficial for the management to address this issue and ensure that all staff members consistently provide friendly and attentive service.
Another aspect worth mentioning is the affordability of Beer House Irish pub. The prices were reasonable, making it an attractive option for those seeking good food without breaking the bank. However, I have to note that the meat dish fell slightly short of our expectations. The cooking preparation was described by one of the male assistants, but it turned out to be a simple hot plate presentation. While the meat was satisfactory, we were anticipating a more elaborate preparation based on the description provided.
In summary, Beer House Irish pub in Salerno offers great food and exceptional service from most of the male assistants. The affordable prices are certainly a plus. Addressing the issue with the disinterested female staff member and ensuring a more accurate description of the cooking preparation would further enhance the overall experience. Despite these minor drawbacks, my visit was enjoyable, and I would recommend this establishment to others seeking a satisfying...
