We drunk two beers and a coke, paid 18,80 €. I give it one star not for the beer's price. They cost 6,90 each one, but at least they went down very well (even if I think the trend of the craft beers is only an excuse to get you paying a beer like a wine). The worst was to pay 5 € for a coke !!!

Abbiamo ordinato due birre e una coca cola grande, pagato 18,80 €. La stella non è per le birre che costavano 6,90 l'una ma almeno erano buone (anche se questa moda delle birre artigianali mi sembra un trucco per far pagare la birra come il vino), ma per la coca...

A South Tyrolean Delight !

At Restaurant Odles in South Tyrol, the Goulash Soup and local sausage were flavorful and authentic, capturing the essence of Tyrolean cuisine. The highlight, however, was the Apple Strudel – an absolute delight with its flaky pastry and perfectly spiced apple filling.

Complementing the excellent food, the restaurant's ambiance was cozy and welcoming, with a traditional Alpine charm. The service was efficient and friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. A visit to Odles is a treat for both the palate...

Baita Odles is a short walk (<2mins) from the top of Col Raiser! We stopped here to take shelter from the rain. We ordered cappuccino, warm milk, Kaiserschmarrn, and the spinach raviolis. The Kaiserschmarrn is similar to the American funnel cake, except it’s not fried (so it’s not crispy), and not as sweet. Personally wished the dough-y part be more crisp on the outside but the jams made up for it in taste! The spinach ravioli was a very nice surprise with both the presentation and the taste! We were told it was made that morning. The ravioli skin was softer than traditional pastas (more similar to a shu-mai skin if y’all are familiar), which surprised us but I enjoyed it that way! Apparently most of the ingredients (dairy, meat) are sourced from the family’s own farm. It feels great knowing where the food comes from, and support local business! Service was also delightful!

Zmęczeni drogą i urzeczeni wspaniałymi widokami zaszliśmy tutaj, aby skosztować szeroko reklamowanych przysmaków z wołowiny. Padło na szlagiery w postaci burgera oraz gulaszu z knedlami. Prezencja burgera od razu wskazała, że nie jest to danie popularne w tych stronach. Kanapka złożona była raczej niedbale, dodatków w środku zawierała niewiele, ale była całkiem smaczna. Nie jest to żaden rarytas, jakość wołowiny również nie jest wyjątkowa i ustępuje najlepszym światowym mięsom, niemniej sama kompozycja pomimo swej prostoty jest szczera, świeża i potrafi zadowolić. Z kolei klasyczny tyrolski gulasz okazał się zacnym emblematem lokalnej kuchni, mięso było kruchutkie, miękkie, a otulone intensywnym sosem pozwalało na radość z posiłku. Knedle same w sobie były dość proste i neutralne w smaku, lecz zyskiwały bardzo po wytaplaniu ich w sosie. A więc jest dobrze. Może jedzenie nie obezwładnia, ale w odróżnieniu od wielu schronisk, nie ma tu kpiny z klienta i traktowania go jako jednorazowego przechodnia. Ceny oczywiście nie należą do niskich, ale te region Dolomitów jest ogólnie bardzo drogi i drożyzna w restauracjach jest tu po prostu powszechna.
