La Cariola Sbusa — Restaurant in San Felice del Benaco

I went to Restaurante La Cariola Sbusa on 01/09/22 with my wife and two small children and was treated with complete rudeness. I was assisted by a women, who told me ORALLY the dish of the day options. I, who don't speak perfectly Italian, asked him for more details about the dish while my wife asked the children what they would eat. It was then that out of the blue, the lady harshly told me that I should order right away as she had more tables to fill. I explained to her that I did not speak the language perfectly and that I could have a little patience, because we were four people, including two children, and that it was not easy for us to order in 20 (!) seconds. The owner, faced with my dissatisfaction, told me that there was a restaurant next door and invited me to leave, always in a rude tone. I will continue to have Italians in my heart for their courtesy, however I understand that IF YOU ARE A TOURIST YOU ARE NOT WELCOME TO...

A very pleasant spot, with friendly staff. Pizza is their speciality, but don't think that they can't prepare you a nice bowl of pasta or seafood- I tried several of their dishes and never left a drop on my plate.

The wine is a good standard (I usually drank the house wine) and the prices were about what you would usually expect for this location. Another thing that was a real positive was the standard of cleanliness.

There is plenty of room, whether you choose to sit outside, or within the resaurant. Their service was prompt, and among the staff are ones with a good grasp of English. I visited daily whilst I was in the area, and they even gave me a discount voucher to use on my penultimate visit.

My hotel (which had its own restaurant) recommended La Cariola Sbüsa, which to me spoke highly of their standard of food and drink. Were I once more along the shores of Lake Garda, I'd relish the thought of enjoying more from...

Very poor experience indeed. We looked forward to going there as its always busy. Service was OK ish apart from the fact that our meals came 5 minutes apart. My tagliatelle beef was average but my wifes fried fish mixed platter was very poor, it was extremely dry and looked like plate scrapings (although it wasn't). When I commented to the waitress that it was dry she ignored it completely and left.

Trying to pay the was also a challenge as the man at front of house decided to serve other people before me even though I had been waiting longer, all he did was thrust the card machine at me and told me to "tap here" without even showing me the final bill.
