In today's world, customer service can make or break a business. Unfortunately, my recent encounter with left much to be desired. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that something was amiss. The staff's demeanor was not just indifferent; it was downright hostile.
As I approached the counter to inquire about a product, I was met with eye rolls and audible sighs. It seemed as though my presence was a nuisance rather than an opportunity for them to assist me. When I attempted to ask a question, I was met with curt responses and condescending remarks.
The rudeness did not stop there. Throughout my interaction with the staff, I was subjected to snide comments and passive-aggressive behavior. It was as if they took pleasure in belittling and demeaning me, the customer.
What's even more concerning is that this behavior was not isolated to just one employee. It seemed to be ingrained in the culture of the establishment, with each staff member feeding off the negativity of the others.
Despite my frustration, I tried to maintain my composure and address the situation with professionalism. However, my attempts to voice my concerns fell on deaf ears. The staff seemed uninterested in rectifying the situation or even acknowledging that there was a problem.
In the end, I left feeling not only disrespected but also deeply disappointed. It's disheartening to see a business prioritize rudeness over customer satisfaction. If wants to retain loyal customers and thrive in today's competitive market, they need to reevaluate their approach to...
Read moreThe authentic taste of Lake Garda
If you're wondering what to eat when you come here and visit Lake Garda, Da Osvaldo calls for you. We are locals, meaning we grew up in the surroundings and so know the lake a lot, but this restaurant was a pleasant surprise: we had dinner there a couple weeks ago and never found another place that feels both like home and like holiday at the same time.
The location is incredible: if the weather allows it, you get to eat right on the shore of Portese, under some very tall trees keeping you nice and chill.
And the menu is absolutely wonderful: you get to choose among typical dishes made with lake fish, always 100% fresh, as the pasta, that is made from scratch every morning (if you happen to stroll by the restaurant around 10 am, you'll see the staff already twisting the taglierini that you'll eat at dinner).
All the staff was incredibly nice, well prepared and ready to provide nice suggestions for our dinner, such as the best local wines to pair our food with.
Will come back for sure, to taste the rest...
Read moreProbably my favourite restaurant in the world. If you like to eat fish, you won’t find a better place to eat it. Grilled over coals and served on a silver platter, dressed with olive oil and parsley with chunks of lemon, the grigliata mista di pesce is as simple a dish as you can get, but it looks very impressive when it is served. Accompany it with an insalata mista and a chilled bottle of Lugana and you are in fish lover’s paradise.
If you’re not a fish lover, there are also grilled meats and pasta ‘fatta in casa’, (homemade pasta).
The setting is equally impressive, especially if you book early and request a table in giardino, which is adjacent to the beach in Portese. The waves lapping on the pebbles and the effects of the fading light on the mountains across the lake as dusk falls, creates a romantic atmosphere that you will want to experience...
