My host recommended this place to me. It's nice and somewhere between comfy and old inside. They had a big buffet with vegetables where I could get my starter (grilled zucchini, tomatoes, eggplants, ....) - great if you love vegetables! (Of course they had the classic starters, too.) Unfortunately the waiter didn't seem to like me that much. He seemed to dislike the fact that I arrived alone and ate alone. On a business trip you don't have much of a choice :) He served the main course (tagliatelle al ragú) while I had the first bites of my starter and when I looked surprised, he said "oh well that's just cold stuff anyway, you can eat that afterwards" - simply ignoring or not knowing his colleague had just warmed the vegetables for me in the kitchen. He didn't smile once. I had wine, dessert (homemade tiramisu, not bad by the way) and a coffee and felt not welcome. The table he assigned to me was next to the kitchen door and with all of his unfriendly behaviour felt like a punishment, too. He treated the people at the other tables (like the couple sitting next to me) much better, smiled and joked with them. I speak Italian, so I am pretty sure it was not a matter of understanding. The food was good and everybody else seemed to enjoy the evening, so maybe it was just personal antipathy? However, if you are in the area and don't match my type you can still give it a try, his colleagues seemed nice...

Grigliata mista dura, secca, spiedini bruciati, paillard insignificante e pancetta gommosa. Si salvava solo la salsiccia. Contorno di verdure al forno abbondante ma con zucchine e carote lesse e melanzane alla griglia (ma non erano al forno?) la parte di friggione che ho ricevuto io era metà calda e metà gelata da frigo. Microonde...? Abbiamo aspettato 45 min per due persone e si sono dimenticati il contorno che volevamo consumare in antipasto. Il personale era cortese, nulla da dire. Ma la ciliegina è stata quando i molti cani dei clienti hanno iniziato ae abbaiare tra loro e non c'è stato verso di poter fare due chiacchiere in santa pace. Già il locale non è particolarmente insonorizzato, ma quello ci sta. Abbiamo chiesto che intervenissero ma i clienti maleducati che non sanno tenere a bada i propri animali hanno avuto la meglio e noi la cena rovinata. Vino della casa decoroso e prezzi onesti, questo va detto. Per correttezza segnalo non abbiamo assaggiato i primi. Ma è stata un'esperienza davvero poco piacevole. Mi dispiace molto ma...
