Chiosco Acquario — Restaurant in San Michele al Tagliamento

We visited Chiosco Acquario in Bibione to celebrate a special occasion—our parents' wedding anniversary. Initially drawn by the nice ambiance and live music, we decided to cancel our reservation elsewhere and dine here. It started off well, but unfortunately, things quickly went downhill.

We arrived around 19:30 and were informed that the restaurant would be open until 23:00, giving us plenty of time to enjoy the evening. Shortly after we sat down and ordered drinks and aperitivo, the staff started closing the terrace due to the weather. While understandable, this marked the end of the live music, which was one of the main reasons we chose this restaurant.

Moving inside, we ordered our meals and continued our evening. However, a few minutes before 21h, while we still had food and drinks on our table, the staff began cleaning up around us, sweeping and mopping the floors. It felt like they were trying to hurry us out, even though the website clearly stated they were open until 23:00. When we asked about this, the waiter said finally they were closing early because of lack of traffic, but they failed to inform us beforehand. We felt rushed and unwelcome, especially since we had just ordered another round of drinks, expecting to stay longer.

This lack of communication was disappointing, and it left us feeling awkward and humiliated, particularly since this was a special evening for our family. Despite the good food and initially friendly service, the experience was soured by the (2 hours!!) early closure and the way it was handled. It would have been considerate for the staff to at least inform us of their intention to close early when we ordered more drinks. A small gesture, like a discount or complimentary dessert, would have been appreciated as an acknowledgment of the disrupted evening.

Locale scoperto durante una breve permanenza a Bibione. Lasciando la macchina nel parcheggio gratuito del Luna Park il locale è raggiungibile in meno di 10 minuti a piedi imboccando Via Acquario e proseguendo sempre dritti. Attraversata la via del centro ed una seconaria si arriva alla spiaggia; il locale è il primo sulla sinistra. Locale giovane e informale, circa una trentina i tavoli disponibili sul patio all'aperto sotto alberi ed ombrelloni. Buon posto per pranzare a prezzi ragionevoli per chi passa la giornata in spiaggia. Varia la proposta di cibi disponibili dagli antipasti, primi e secondi di carne e pesce, pizze, verdure, snack, dessert oltre che bibite di vario genere e cocktail. Prezzi ragionevoli (dai 25 ai 30€ in due per una porzione a testa a base di pesce abbondante ma non esagerata, bibita e caffè). Personale giovane, gentile, attento e disponibile a soddisfare le esigenze del cliente e che parla più lingue. Servizio veloce ma non frentetico. Ambiente tranquillo e rilassante. Avendo la casa a Bibione e il posto ombrellone poco distante ci vado molto spesso per ottime granite (anche alcoliche, consiglio mela verde e vodka) e ottimi pasti. Il cibo è sempre abbondante e molto buono. Unica pecca è la disattenzione del servizio e la lentezza (Comunque non eccessiva come leggo in altre recensioni). Abbiamo richiesto un caffè, Dopo 15 minuti chiedo notizie ed evidentemente la cameriera non si è informata visto che dopo altri 5 minuti sono andata al bar e mancava proprio la comanda. Eh già, su due cameriere nessuna delle 2 ci ha ordinato il caffè richiesto. Quando ho fatto presente al bar dopo un paio di minuti è arrivato. Capisco comunque vista la settimana di ferragosto la difficoltà nel gestire il locale pieno ma dimenticare le comande è un Po spiacevole come cosa per il cliente.
