Gambrinus — Restaurant in San Polo di Piave

I had my wedding here. Honestly the food and restaurant side was delicious... Everything else they organised was terrible - the mini bus service arranged through them was a disaster... The brides bedroom was totally disappointing... We arranged bedrooms for guests with disabilities and they failed to tell us they were 500 meters walk away. In the end the fact is everyone had a great time, the park and the food was incredible, but our families had to solve the disasters with the mini bus and with the surprise distant accommodation... Also once the meal part was finished we had to go looking for people to look after our guests needs for water, and drinks... No one after the meal was looking after our people, despite charging us for each hour into the night. If you want to get married here, it's a good choice, but organise your own rooms, your own bus service, your own everything outside of the meal - they have no clue how to organise good services other than the food. We held a family gathering over lunch at Gambrinus and had a wonderful afternoon there. The food was delicious and the mille foglie served was delicate, light and totally amazing. Elisir Gambrinus, which was homemade by the restaurant added a nice touch to end the meal. Highly recommend to try the sweet wine! Do spend some time taking a stroll in the park behind the restaurant and do what the Italians do - passegiata after the full meal. The park was serene and you will find peacocks, ducks, swans, fishes and many beautiful flowers among the well manicured greenery.

A tutti i Vegetariani e Vegani che mi leggono: se siete stanchi dei soliti posti tristi e improvvisati dove le uniche alternative vegetali sono la pasta al pomodoro, le patate fritte o l’insalata e cercate un luogo speciale per una semplice cena o per festeggiare un qualsiasi evento, questo é il posto perfetto! Situato in un meraviglioso parco di oltre 30.000 metri quadrati, molto curato e ricco di prati ed alberi secolari, questo Locale Storico d’Italia a conduzione familiare offre pietanze di elevata qualità e un trattamento di grande cortesia e professionalità. Ma non é solo un rinomato ristorante: è anche osteria, opificio e cantina, tutti riuniti in un unico grande ambiente sapientemente diviso in varie sale, molto intime e finemente arredate e curate, per garantire la giusta privacy agli ospiti. Ci si sente veramente a casa. Io e mia moglie siamo vegani da parecchi anni, abbiamo scelto questo posto splendido per il nostro 26º anniversario di matrimonio e abbiamo passato una serata stupenda! Il menù interamente vegetale proposto dal bravissimo ed eclettico Chef Pierchristian Zanotto ci ha davvero conquistato, le foto parlano da sole, le porzioni sono giuste e molto curate. Il dolce era semplicemente divino, una Viennetta all’acquafaba con cioccolato di alta qualità e menta, una vera delizia golosa per il palato che lo Chef ci ha preparato come graditissima sorpresa per il nostro anniversario!! Siamo rimasti davvero colpiti perché in pratica è tutto di loro produzione: dal pane, ai grissini artigianali (anche al carbone vegetale, buonissimi), ai vini, agli spumanti, ai liquori (il loro Elisir è una vera delizia, da provare assolutamente), che si possono acquistare presso la loro splendida osteria. I prezzi, considerati l’elevata qualità delle materie prime, sono assolutamente accettabili. Che dire? Non vediamo l’ora di tornare, ma non per festeggiare un evento: ogni scusa è buona per fermarsi a gustare le prelibatezze del Gambrinus, accolti e coccolati dalla cordialissima famiglia Zanotto e dai loro gentilissimi collaboratori. 5 stelle meritatissime, ma se potessi ne darei 10 volte tanto!
