We spent 2 nights at Cascina Battignana for the christening and celebration of my Godson. The accommodation is very rustic although perfectly adaquate with ensuite bathrooms and very clean rooms. It has a nice pool and is surrounded by wonderful views.||||The highlight of this Agriturismo however is most definitely the restaurant. There a long tables on a very cool and authentic terrace overlooking the rolling hills of Piemonte. The atmosphere is just wonderful. The food is delicious and the menu not too long which is always a relief as everything is so good! We had 2 dinners which were both excellent and then a big family lunch celebration on Saturday following the christening of my nephew in a church in the little town of San Sebastian Curone which is nearby. The set lunch was absolutely delicious and it was very difficult to leave the table at the end of it! The staff were excellent, but being an Agriturismo they are limited with drinks that they are allowed to sell. If you like wine though, then you are fine!||||The town of San Sebastiano Curone is small, but extremely pretty. The little cobbled streets are adorable and it is well worth a visit to discover little churches and nooks all through the village. A very typical hillside village in Piemonte. ||||A really delightful 2 days in a very cosy atmosphere, I can highly recommend this venue for a family function or just a dinner. Be warned though, Saturday night...
