Very nice local food, everything felt home cooked and made with love. A rustic dining establishment with a lot of history and charm. Great service and the lady boss spoke good english as well. They have a tasting platter for their antipasti where u get to try a little of everything- really liked the vegetable pie. Highly recommend their pastas- gnocchi was exceptional, and meats. They dont have fish or poultry here. Good wine selection at a variety of prices. The La Combera wines r good value. Make sure u try the desserts too! Avremmo voluto andare in questo ristorante, ma purtroppo abbiamo dovuto rinunciare a causa di una grave allergia ai latticini di mio padre e l’incompatibilità col menù. Siamo andati a prenotare giovedì verso le 12 ed esponendo il problema alla signora, ci ha proposto: affettati, o gnocchi al pomodoro, oppure “se vuole le vado a comprare una bistecca, perché potrei fare la pizzaiola ma con l’olio non so se viene bene”. Abbiamo prenotato comunque, ma arrivati a casa ci siamo confrontati e abbiamo deciso di rinunciare perchè per lui sarebbe stato un normalissimo pranzo di tutti i giorni e ci dispiaceva. Alle h 13 dello stesso giorno, abbiamo chiamato subito il ristorante e con molta onestà abbiamo chiesto di cancellare la prenotazione per il reale motivo…la reazione però non è stata delle più gentili: “eh ma io le ho proposto un sacco di alternative, se ha tutti questi problemi è meglio che stia a casa”. Direi che non c’è altro da aggiungere. Sarà anche un buon ristorante storico, però hanno ancora tanto da imparare in quanto sia a cucina (perché che un ristorante non sappia gestire un’allergia e dica al cliente che è meglio che se ne stia a casa, non s’è mai visto), ma sopratutto ad educazione.

Abbiamo girato l’Europa e l’Italia intera e tutti hanno sempre trovato alternative con un po’ di fantasia (in cucina è necessaria), nessuno si è mai permesso di dirgli che sarebbe stato meglio se fosse...

300-year-old restaurant! We had a really nice dinner there. The service was sweet, the food was delicious. If you want to get a local experience, then this is a place to go to. Food is always seasonal, so you might not get the dishes you see from the pictures in the reviews which makes it even better! Just don’t make our mistakes and order 7 starters + 3 primi. It was too much food :) But everything, the starters and pasta were super delicious....
