Edit: 5+ stars - this is my 3rd favorite restaurant in the world. It is truly a gem.
We went back for the 2nd time this week and our expectations were again exceeded.
51.50 EUR for a Diavola Pizza, Carbonara, 1L of white wine and a large beer. I was very tempted to try the 6.50 EUR margherita pizza but splurged a few extra euros for the salami. Also, 2 shots of Limoncello on the house afterwards from the friendly bartender.
Again, not a tourist trap at all. Service and food were, again, impeccable. You would be missing out by not stopping here. Try getting this kind of value anywhere else around Lake Como. There are some reviews claiming this is a tourist trap, but I disagree. Some of these low reviews almost seem malicious. The pizza pictured was 8.50EUR. How is that too expensive?
A 3 course meal for 2 including 1L of wine and a beer was under 60 EUR all in. Admittedly, we did splurge a bit.
The pizza had great, airy crust and fresh toppings. Seafood pasta was perfectly cooked with plenty of seafood.
The prices are very reasonable, the food is excellent, and the service is attentive and friendly. I would go...
Read moreOur air bnb was round the corner from this restaurant so we thought we’d give it a go and we are so glad we did! We had a glass of wine, pasta and dessert each for roughly €20 each.
The staff were so friendly when discussing the menu with us, even giving recommendations. The music playing was nice and the atmosphere was great.
The food was lovely, I had the carbonara and my friend had the ravioli. Bread was bought out to start with and we had our own bowl of Parmesan which was ideal.
Outside seating was available but we chose to sit inside as we were cold and unprepared for the weather.
The desserts were okay, we ordered the creme brûlée and the creme caramel. The creme brûlée had some sections which were a bit like jelly and the texture of the creme caramel was slightly grainy.
However, we would absolutely come here again due to the great mains...
Read moreAn issue with our reservation. I requested an outside table and the person taking the reservation confirmed that I had successfully reserved an outside spot. When we got there the host said it wasn't possible to sit outside and I needed to ask for outside when I originally called and insisted that I didn't already do that. I tried to explain that my reservation was confirmed outside - he said it wasn't and it was my fault for not asking. It's off-putting. They sat us inside in an alcove on a very hot night...no fan. So uncomfortable. Food was amazing! One of my faves! Servers inside were kind and helpful. Just wish the reservation and host conversation ran smoother and...
