Jekyll & Hyde — Restaurant in Santa Marinella

Please reconsider coming here if you’re a big group and think this place looks good. We were a group of 14, which is understandably a hard group to serve as we are so many - but we got seated immediately as there was space at the restaurant, tho I wish we weren’t to be frank. I always recommend waiters to turn large groups away if you know there isn’t enough capacity in the kitchen, and with only one chef at work, they were definitely overworked.

As for the service, they did not speak English and we luckily had an Italian speaker in our group. Our orders were taken right away, and the first person got served their food half an hour later. The last person in our group was served over 1.5 hours after we ordered (despite us asking for the food multiple times). The sides were not served alongside the main course, and half of the sides never arrived. The food we was served was nearly inedible - I ordered (a quite expensive) cut steak, medium rare - what I got resembles more of a leather shoe sole, it was burnt, extremely dry and not possible to finish. The others who ordered meat had similar experiences. The pasta dishes served were grossly overcooked, and the fries resembled baked mashed potatoes more than actual fries. The only edible dishes were the seafood (mussels etc.). When we got our receipt it was completely wrong, with many dishes we hadn’t ordered or received added to the bill. We had to stay an extra half an hour to sort the bill, as there was absolutely no control over what we had been served on the restaurants part.

This was, unfortunately one of my worst restaurant experiences, not only in Italy but ever. Maybe it’s better if you arrive in a smaller group, but this was truly very disappointing - despite the nice servers trying their very best to accommodate us...

The sort of review that is hard to write. To start off, this is without a single doubt in my mind, the absolutely worst food I have eaten at a restaurant ever - by a long shot! Ordered the “Sliced beef” - medium rare - and some veggies. The meat arrived after 45 minutes, burnt to an absolute crisp. I mean blackened as the deep universe and a jaw exercise to eat. After another 20 minutes - and the edible parts of the meat is eaten - THEN the veggies arrive. What kind of veggies they were? No lo se. But they were the single most abhorrent taste I have put in my mouth ever.

Even though the waitress was cute and nice, and obviously sorry for the presentation and waiting times, this just was the single worst restaurant I have...

Absolutely horrible. Ordered the Italian Ribs. We’re in a party of 14. After 30 minutes the first dish came. But mine - nowhere to be found. Then after everybody had gotten their food and eaten it. I asked where mine was. She the. Said it would be there shortly. This was a lie, and she probably went to the kitchen and asked them to make me my food. Then after 1.5 hours I got my food. But it was the wrong dish! I got the cheapest of the meat, burnt more than I would become if I stood out in the sun for a whole day without sunscreen.
