I Russo' — Restaurant in Santa Venerina

The food was okay but the experience of eating in this restaurant was spoilt because everything was being brought cold and the waiting time was longer than expected despite the restaurant being almost empty. The waitress wasn't very friendly and rarely appeared to take care of us. My drink (tea) was brought 20 minutes after my partner's drink and was cold - I had to ask for another one. My steak of veal was also brought cold and so were the grilled vegetables. Based on our overall experience, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant unless everything else is closed. Very nice restaurant, the service was super friendly and we felt very welcome! We ordered bruschetta and potato wedges as a starter (the bruschetta was lovely and just the way I imagine a bruschetta and the fries were homemade and very crispy). For the main course we had a pizza a la norma (with melanzani) that was absolutely delicious and we had a gluten-free pizza pistacchiosa (with pistacchios, mortadella), but unfortunately the dough was rather thick (besides that we were very happy that they had a gluten-free option).

Io, la mia famiglia e dei loro amici siamo stati in questo locale che devo dire abbastanza carino e con la "fama" di essere un posto dove si mangia molto bene, peccato che noi non abbiamo mangiato un bel niente. Dopo due ore di attesa (letteralmente dalle ore 21:00 in cui abbiamo ordinato a dopo le 23:00 in cui ce ne siamo andati) le pizze non arrivavano e sono state servite persone che erano venute un'ora dopo di noi. Posso capire che fossimo un bel po' e che fosse di sabato sera, ma è a dir poco inconcepibile che vengano servite persone che sono venute molto dopo di noi e che erano in tavolate numerose come la nostra o anche più numerose. Si dice che si mangi bene, ma se il servizio è questo, preferisco andare a mangiare in un altro posto dove si mangia un pochettino peggio, ma non si aspetta tutta quella infinità di tempo. Alla fine ci siamo alzati ed abbiamo pagato comunque quello che avevamo consumato e cioè dire bevande e le patatine. In ogni caso, le persone che venivano servite prima nonostante fossero arrivate dopo e in tavolate più grandi rispetto alla nostra, penso fossero a questo punto o amici o clienti di vecchia data del locale. Non è per niente giusto questo trattamento, perché I CLIENTI VANNO TRATTATI TUTTI ALLO STESSO MODO. Sconsiglio vivamente. Ah dimenticavo. Consiglierei invece al cameriere che prendeva le ordinazioni, di prendersi una bella camomilla che non guasta mai prima di recarsi a lavoro perché lo vedevo un po' nervosetto e scorbutico. Non vorrei mai vederlo che gli si alzi la pressione e...
