We discovered Osteria Vineria Cibus while passing through Santadi, and it turned out to be one of the most authentic meals of our trip. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived, but quickly filled with locals which is always a good sign.

The atmosphere is warm, with a focus on honest, local cooking. Communication was a mix of gestures, smiles, and bits of Italian, but the service was welcoming throughout. I ordered a local fish steak cooked simply with ripe cherry tomatoes, followed by a crisp green salad, while my wife had fresh culurgiones. We shared a bottle of Vermentino that paired perfectly with the meal. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and deeply tied to the region.

What stood out most was how the room gradually transformed from empty to lively, full of neighbors greeting each other and enjoying long lunches together.

If you find yourself in the Sulcis area, Osteria Vineria Cibus is well worth a stop. It’s the sort of restaurant that rewards curiosity with simple, heartfelt Sardinian cooking and genuine...

The restaurant was recommended by my host at the Villa Santadi (Matteo) which is just 50m away. But it’s clearly one of the best in the area, I went there on two consecutive evenings and it was full every time (so other visitors and locals like it too).

Only the Seadas I had on the first evening where too dry and a bit disappointing, I had much better one in Sassari. But the tuna tartare...

We had diner here for three nights in a row. Would definately recommend to anyone. Food is delicious and the waitress are very friendly and nice. They have an open kitchen which is cool to experience. The cabbacala - white fish with crust was our favourite. The meat also really tender and grilled the way it should. Thanks!

Excellent restaurant, good food and good service. The Court yard provides a tranquil location for a dinner in the shade of a large olive tree when the weather is good.
