La Casa Rosa — Restaurant in Sellano

We had the most amazing dinner for two nights in a row at La Casa Rosa! We were staying at Castello Postignano Relais and had dinner here during our stay. The menu is creative, unique, with wonderful flavors from the region - a not to miss dining experience! We especially wanted to commend the lovely and attentive staff - the service was amazing, and especially from Alessandro who took care of us during our first night dinner, and was the most attentive, knowledgeable server, and really gave us excellent service that elevated our dining experience! This restaurant is vastly overrated. Tastes are rather bland, combinations are not always succesful. The dishes are too intricate, whereas the Italian cuisine is at its best when chefs are confident enough to keep things simple. The visuals seem more important than taste. And for 150 Euro/couple, this wasn’t exactly a bargain. We had a far superior meal in a Michelin-starred restaurant during our Italy-trip for the same price. And many other delicious meals...

What amazing food! This was also where we stayed for 3 nights and I cannot speak highly enough of the staff there who were very friendly and attentive to all our needs. Our dinner here was the icing on the cake and impressed us on all fronts. A lot of effort went into the presentation and flavour profiles. It definitely exceeded my expectations!
