Borgo Fonte Scura — Restaurant in Silvi

From start to finish our holiday at Borgo Fonte Scura was absolutely fantastic! We arrived late to the hotel and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. They quickly fed and watered us and allowed us to sit by the pool around midnight to take in the surroundings, even though the hard workers were keen to start packing down for the night. They also tried their best to speak English for us as our Italian (sadly) was limited. ||My boyfriend and I knew then that this holiday would be lovely, and that was thanks to the staff.||The holiday continued to exceed our expectations. Maximialiano in particular took very good care of us and would bring us complimentary snacks by the pool and offer advice of sights to see in Pescara. ||We spent one evening at Borgo Fonte Scura for dinner and the food was exquisite. My boyfriend and I shared a delicious fish starter, followed by two pasta dishes and a chocolatey dessert. Then to our surprise we were presented with two more complimentary desserts, just in case we weren't quite full (we certainly were after that)||On the beach yesterday my boyfriend and I spoke fondly of our time spent at Borgo Fonte Scura and agreed we would happily return as the holiday was everything we wanted it to be - and that is 100% due to the staff!||Thank you for a wonderful holiday and we look forward to seeing you again!...

This hotel is an outstanding visit, we have just stayed there again after our first visit last year. We were not disappointed! The welcome you get from the staff is very warm and genuine. The night manager Dominic could not do enough for us when we returned in the evening. For breakfast he gave us fresh coffee, organic smoothies and a delicious local style breakfast. The local olive oil is a delight and Dominic also recommended and served their local salami too. We stayed in the "Tower" where we felt decadent! Lovely crisp linen bed sheets, fantastic shower and toilet with nice soaps and extras. The view from our room was faultless, breath taking and never dull. From one window the sea from the other the well manicured grounds. The balcony outside was pleasant to sit at night and sip Preseco. Edmond who seemed to be everywhere and always busy ensuring our comfort was another real benefit to the hotel, nice to talk to and very helpful. |The only drawback which guest might find awkward is that the hotel does not have a restaurant that serves lunch or evening meals. This for us was no trouble as we went out to explore the Silvi eateries. So all in we like the Hotel Borgo Fonte Scura and plan to return again to this delightful oasis next year (2016) but this time we intend to stay longer. |Colin & Jackie...
