It's really hard to beat the atmosphere of this restaurant. The interior has some beatiful rustic decor, and features huge barrels repurposed at banquettes or tables, old solid wooden seating and partitions, and authentic country-life paraphernalia. The lighting is soft and inviting too. Food-wise I have always only had pizza and I find the menu extensive and not limited to the usual-suspects. I am not completely enamoured with the crusty pizza, which always comes with quite a thick border. Premetto che non è mia consuetudine recensire i luoghi dove mi reco a mangiare… ma questa volta proprio non posso esimermi dal non farlo!!! Dopo diversi anni, decidiamo un sabato sera di prenotare in questo locale storico dell’entroterra veneziano. La serata inizia male con un servizio al tavolo frammentato e sempre assistito da persone diverse che hanno continuamente fatto confusione con gli ordini. Sicuramente chi ha preso la pizza è stato più fortunato di chi ha scelto la cucina: Ordiniamo dei galletti(15€)… e due porzioni di patatine fritte(solitamente il galletto viene gia servito con un contorno ma qui no!) ci vengono portati delle porzioni di galletto che assomigliavano a metà di quest’ultimo,senza contorno,..con una salsa che era semplicemente estratta da un vasetto di polpa di pomodoro in scatola versato su di una ciotolina di vetro. Dopo dieci minuti arriva solo uno dei contorni ordinati……. DISASTRO Due di noi hanno ordinato delle cotolette (di quelle surgelate simil AIA) accompagnate da un contorno sul piatto che non era stato specificato (patatine fritte). Tutto questo aspettando tempi biblici. MAI UNA SCUSA,mai un chiarimento sugli errori di ordine e di poca chiarezza nel menù (se scrivi GALLETTO PICCANTE,mi aspetto che arrivi UN GALLETTO,non meta’!!!) Arriviamo alle note piu dolenti,il conto! Salatissimo,le cotolette con le patate fritte tutto surgelato a 21€ a porzione… si erano dimenticati di togliere un contorno mai arrivato… al momento del contraddittorio il proprietario oltre a non essersi scusato,pretendeva di avere ragione sia sul Galletto (a parer suo sono giustificati 15€ per mezzo galletto senza salsa e senza contorno) che sul prezzo delle cotolette! E si permette anche in maniera maleducata di restituirci i 5€ del contorno che per colpa sua non è mai arrivato! Esperienza pessima...

We were only in the region of Venice for one week, but we are here three times. What a great find. My wife can't have gluten or lactose, and these guys do pizza and pasta that is safe for her.

The pizza is extremely good, this is the first place we've ever been to where the gluten free pizza is indistinguishable from the standard one. And they had lactose free mozzarella too.
