Sherlock Holmes Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Syracuse

The environment is ok if you go there to get drunk. I had one of the worst pizzas in Italy ever. The pizza looked so simple and okish but the base was salty as hell. Overall the taste was really disappointing. Like, how can you ruin a simple margherita? My wife took Carbonara, her comments "we get better carbonara on cheap shops in Finland". Refer to the pics.

Edit over owner's reply: Getting food a bit late was least of our problem. We drove long way to try this place and we had patience to wait. Taste of the food was the real problem, salty food might be fine with someone who is drunk but not for sober taste buds. I'm a pizza chef as a hobbyist and on my worst batch I have never made dough this salty. Sorry, not trying to be rude but accept criticism when it actually is the case. The Fork si conferma un ottimo metodo per scoprire posti nuovi che altrimenti, con molta probabilità, non avrei mai conosciuto. Questo locale ne è la conferma. Nella strada principale della piccola frazione di Cassibile, adiacente ad un ampia piazzetta dove si trova posto facilmente, ho scoperto questo localino molto grazioso. Al suo interno il legno la fa la da padrone ma ciò che salta subito all'occhio è la gentilezza e la cortesia dei proprietari che ci hanno accolti con un bel sorriso il che non è da sottovalutare in quanto mi capita davvero di rado. Tavolo già pronto, ci accomodiamo e attendiamo qualche minuto per avere i menù. Ordianiamo un po di tutto, voglio recensire per bene il locale, quindi pizze, hamburger e un secondo di carne. La qualità del cibo è davvero ottima, la pizza ben cotta, la carne morbida e gli hamburger gustosi e della giusta porzione. Unico neo è stato il tempo di attesa di 50minuti per avere tutte le portate il che, in caso di bambini, può essere un problema. L'ambiente è piacevole anche se non influisce sul voto dato in quanto dipende dall'educazione delle persone presenti in quel momento e nel caso di quella sera un tavolo al fianco nostro emetteva un livello di decibel tale che abbiamo pensato fossero sordi....invece erano solo incivili...ma li il locale non può farci nulla.

In definitiva, esperienza positiva. Ho deciso che ci tornerò per capire se i tempi di attesa sono frutto di un problema in quella sera (plausibile).

Eigentlich eine nette Lage, aber das war es auch schon. Frage nach WiFi wurde zunächst positiv beantwortet, dann von anderen Bediensteten negativ. Wir bekamen dann ein PW, das aber doch nicht funktionierte. Aber zum Essen: ich hatte ein Pizza Monalisa, deren Unterseite leicht angebrannt war und daher auch leicht bitter schmeckte. Oben drauf waren Scampi im Belag, die absolut keinen Geschmack hatten und sehr wässrig waren. Der Hammer war aber der Tomatensalat für meine Frau, der lieblos in einer Schale ohne einen Tropfen Öl, Essig Salz und Pfeffer auf den Tisch gestellt wurde. Die Tomaten waren hellrot, recht viel weisses Fleisch, groß und bestenfalls geachtelt. Es waren definitiv keine Tomaten aus Italien, da sie null Eigengeschmack hatten (und wir haben schon reichlich Tomaten gegessen) , sondern stark nach billigen holländischen Frühtomaten schmeckten. Ein Grauen, der nach dem ersten Bissen stehen blieb. Ein kleine Aufwertung brachte das Pizzabrot, das es zu den Tomaten gab, wenngleich die gleichmäßige Kräuterwürzung und der gute Backzustand in mir den Verdacht eines industriellen Brotes aufkommen ließ.
