Indian Icon — Restaurant in Terni

It's a good place to go, in Umbria, when you want a touch of Asian food. They were connected to the close Asian market, so the ingredients are coming from that source and are good. The service is simple but good, and the location as well. This way the prices are less than usual, for an Asian restaurant. Their cuisine is just Indian, no fusion. Everything is mild, if you want a kick of spiciness you can have on request. Drinks could be better, but it's the same: they keep things simple, so they don't go crazy on prices. My expectations are low on different cuisines in Italy and this met that. The appetisers were ok, the 2 curry dishes almost tasted the same the only difference being the spinach in the green chicken curry. The meat in the lamb curry was tender but overall the dishes lacked much flavour and even after being asked about the level of spice they seemed the same even though one was asked as spicy. The lady serving up front looked very miserable and seemed very happy. Sorry but forgot to take photos...

I visited Indian Icon a few days ago and the food is absolutely fantastic! It blends authentic Indian flavours suited for the Italian palette and serves the best combinations. The ambience is very soothing and provides a great place for a nice family meal.

Great food and great service. The staff is very sweet.
